Joseph Muzzo

Joseph Muzzo, 66, of Lakewood, passed away Oct. 8, 2020, at home sur-rounded by his family. He was born Aug. 7, 1954, in Lackawanna, N.Y., the son of Sebastian and Carolyn Muzzo.

After graduating James-town Hight School class of 1972, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served honorably as a front-line medic during the Vietnam War.

Joe worked at many area golf courses as a superin-tendent.

He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was also a member of AMVETS, the American Legion, and the Busti Men’s Association.

Joe was an excellent scratch golfer and part of the Pro Bowlers Associa-tion, He loved auto racing and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Joe is survived by his wife of 15 years, Barbara Muzzo; his children: Lisa Muzzo of Lousianna, Chris (Shannon) Paul of Erie, Pa., and James (Kristina) Paul of Jamestown, N.Y.; his seven grandchildern; and one great-grandchild.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Sabastian Muzzo and Carolyn Savoca Muzzo.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, from 4-7 p.m., at Hubert Funeral Home.

Rev. Darrell Duffy will officiate a religious service Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home followed by burial at Sunset Hill Cemetery Lake-wood, N.Y.
