Edna E. Niles

Edna E. Niles, 95. of East Elmwood Ave., Falconer, passed away Saturday (Feb. 8, 2020) at UPMC Chautauqua.

She was born Jan. 7, 1925, in Collins, Mississippi, the daughter of Samuel and Bessie Kirkley Mooney.

Edna enjoyed children, plants, watching birds, playing checkers, and word search.

Edna is survived by five children: Sandra (Thomas) Johnson of Ashville, David (Julie) Niles of Frewsburg, Allen Niles of Georgia, Glenda (Charles) Green of Maple Springs and Robert Niles of Jamestown; 18 grandchildren; 36 greatgrandchildren, with one arriving in May; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Rosemary) Mooney of Mississippi; and two sisters: Lena Stringer of Mississippi, and Joyce Speed of Alabama.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Niles; a grandson, Austin Niles; two brothers: Allison and Arnold Mooney: and a sister, Edith Mooney Ray.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
