Timothy D. Yocum “Yokes”

Timothy D. “Yokes” Yocum, 47, of Falconer, N.Y., passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, in the town of Ellery, N.Y.

A lifelong area resident, he was born Dec. 2, 1970, in Jamestown. N.Y., the son of Kenneth H. Yocum and Cynthia Y. Visosky Perry.

He was a graduate of Jamestown High School and was a member of the Jamestown Eagles Lodge.

Tim was employed as a truck driver for Jamestown Macadam Inc. for the past several years.

Surviving are his father, Kenneth of Frewsburg, N.Y.; his mother, Cynthia (Kevin) Perry of Jamestown; a son, Tyler Yocum of Whitney Point, N.Y.; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Christine Yocum of Jamestown; a stepsister, Amber Perry of Falconer; and a stepbrother, Kevin Perry of Ripley, N.Y.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Visosky Shute; and his paternal grandmother, Lillian Yocum.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Penhollow, pastor of the Jamestown Community Chapel will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

The family will received friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to any of the Fire Departments which aided in the search and recovery of Tim. The Lakewood Fire Department, Busti Fire Department, Celoron Fire Department, Ashville Fire Department, Dewittville Fire Department, Bemus Point Fire Department or to the Glade Township. Pa. Fire Department.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all of the fire departments and to Darrell Braley and the Chautauqua County Dive Team, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, the Lakewood-Busti Police Department and to the Chautauqua Lake Yacht Club for their tireless effort and compassion over the past several days.
