Edith M. (Lindquist) Camp

Edith M. (Lindquist) Camp, 90, of Jamestown, formerly of Mayville, passed away Friday (Sept. 25, 2015) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Jan. 10, 1925, in Levant, the daughter of the late Alfred T. and Esther E. Eckholm Lindquist.

Edith attended Falconer High School and in earlier years was employed by: Worsted Mills, Marlin Rockwell, Crescent Tool, Weber Knapp, Geer-Dunn, Bender’s Restaurant, Casino Restaurant. She managed apartment complexes with her husband William Camp in North Syracuse, Rochester and Webster, N.Y., for 20 years. Prior to retirement she was employed for Portage Hill in Mayville for 15 years. She was a member Eagles and Moose clubs of Jamestown.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Patricia) Trusler of Jamestown; two daughters: Bonnie (Richard) Kelly of Jamestown, Susan (Robert) Freeburg of Jamestown; Seven grandchildren: Scott (Susan deceased Sept. 18, 2015) Trusler of Daytona, Fla., Jeff Trusler, Jamie Trusler of Jamestown, Pam (Jay) SaGurney of James-town, Scott Freeburg of Mayville, Richard (Patricia) Kelly Jr. of Warren, Pa., Stephen Nuse Jr. of Illinois; ten great-grandchildren: Dana and Jayden Hultin of Jamestown, Jamison and Abbi Trusler of Jamestown, Gabi, Gage, Matthew and Kalli Freeburg of Mayville, Michael Whitling, Kayla Brown of Warren, Pa.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Camp, whom she married Nov. 23, 1973, who died May 14, 2009; seven broth-ers: A. Ellsworth, J. Albert, J. Harold, C. Kenneth, E. Morley, Lawrence, and R. Hubert Lindquist; two sis-ters: Beatrice Nordlund, Elizabeth Nunn; a great grandchild: Adam Hultin.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Henry will officiate. Inurnment will be private in Levant Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the memorial service in the funeral home Wednesday.

Memorial Contributions will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Society 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311 or the American Cancer Society Western Regional Office, 101 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228-1198.
