Audrey E. Anderson

Audrey was born on September 22, 1928 in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Henning L. and Ethel I. Lawson Anderson.

Audrey was a 1946 graduate of Jamestown High School and received her associate’s degree from Jamestown Community College. Audrey worked in the Accounting Department at Jamestown Mutual Insurance Company for many years. She was a former member of Kidder Memorial Global Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School. Audrey volunteered at Jamestown General Hospital and then at WCA Hospital.

Audrey was a classical musical enthusiast and a talented artist who drew and painted several pieces throughout the years. She attended Classical music tours and events in Buffalo. Audrey enjoyed spending time at The Chautauqua Institute. She loved poetry, especially the poem from Robert Frost, “The woods are lovely, dark and deep But I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.”

Audrey is survived by her nephews: Lee Anderson and Neil (Bonnie) Anderson; great niece: Jessica Anderson and two great-nephews: Aaron and Greg Anderson and a few close friends: Jason Hansen, Joanie Denn and Mark Bargar.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: Roy Anderson.

Family and friends may attend a funeral service on Thursday at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, 316 E. 5th Street, Jamestown, N.Y. at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
