CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – MAYVILLE – Jeffrey Buchanan, 34, of Erie, Pa. was charged March 21 with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Buchanan, an inmate of the county jail, is accused of throwing his jail issued electronic tablet multiple times into the cell walls and bars, rendering the tablet inoperable.

On Monday, at 8:25 a.m., deputies were conducting a warrant check at a Stockton business for Andrew Whitford, 30, of Main Street.
