CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT --- ELLERY --- At about 4:40 a.m. Sunday, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle complaint on I-86 going eastbound near Mina. The vehicle was later located in the Town of North Harmony and stopped in the town of Ellery after a traffic infraction. The driver was Eric J. Rush, 50, of Knoxville, Tenn. After an investigation, Rush was charged with DWI, DWI per se, aggravated unlicensed operation. and failure to keep right. ELLICOTT POLICE - A 17-year-old youth was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon Tuesday after police officers responded to a report of a suspicious situation at Falconer Central School. The youth allegedly had an Airsoft gun on school grounds. The youth was found and turned the Airsoft gun over to police. Police report the Airsoft gun was not used, nor was it taken inside the school building. The youth will be in Ellicott Town Court later. Karr Jr., 50, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, at 8:54 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a domestic incident on Jamestown’s east side.
