CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — RIPLEY — At around 7:34 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a business on Shortman Road for a report of a female who used fraudulent money for a purchase. After a brief investigation, Kimberly Ramey, 47 of Westfield, was found to have used a fake $100 dollar bill and did receive an amount of cash back from the purchase which was stolen from the business. Ramey was charged with petit larceny and third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and released with appearance tickets to be in Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Daric Harris, 56, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree assault after an incident on Christmas Eve. Officers responded to a residence on the North Side of the city regarding a domestic dispute around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. During the investigation, it was determined that Harris had struck another male in the household with a shotgun, resulting in a laceration and a fractured forearm. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT SHERMAN --- At about 9:15 p.m. Saturday, multiple fire departments responded to 123 Church St. for a garage fire. Once extinguished, members of the Chautauqua County Fire investigation Team responded. It was determined that the fire had originated due to a wood burning stove being in close proximity to combustible materials. No injuries were reported and the garage was destroyed. Tucker, 28, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest at 7:05 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a west side address for a report of a suspicious situation. Officers were talking to a landlord and tenant of an apartment when officers saw Tucker exit the apartment’s bathroom. Mitchell, 21, of Jamestown was charged with three counts of second-degree assault, two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal mischief after an incident late Saturday.
