JAMESTOWN POLICE - Charles H. Karr Jr., 50, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, at 8:54 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a domestic incident on Jamestown’s east side. Police report seeing Karr Jr. inside of the home knowing he had a valid stay away order from a woman in the home. to be inside of the residence. Officers say they also knew Karr Jr. had a valid arrest warrant issued by Jamestown City Court. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Lanell S. Williams 20, of Chicago, Ill., was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, after allegedly attacking a customer at Tops Markets on Foote Avenue. At 3:49 p.m. Nov. 2, city police officers responded to the store fo ra report of a person who had been attacked by another customer. Upon arrival officers found a man inside the business with physical injuries. Alstar Ambulance EMTs were on the scene treating the victim. Williams allegedly assaulted the elderly man. ELLICOTT POLICE - Dustin A. McChesney, 27, of Jamestown, was charged with speed in zone, consuming cannabis in a motor vehicle, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Oct. 19. Ellicott police responded to a speeding vehicle on Allen Street Extension and allege McChesney was speeding while having burning cannabis in his vehicle. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — SHERIDAN — At about 3 p.m. Saturday, multiple fire departments responded to 10539 Newell Road for a reported structure fire. At about 3:30 p.m., the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to assist with a cause and origin fire investigation.It was found the fire was accidental in nature, caused by a riding lawnmower in a carport that was attached to the garage and house. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — MAYVILLE — Four Westfield residents are facing charges after a traffic stop Thursday morning. At about 9:40 a.m., Andrew Harris, 26, was operating a vehicle on Academy Street and was known to have a state license with 25 suspensions and revocations. He was stopped by deputies and a search of his vehicle was conducted which produced a felony amount of methamphetamine. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Cody E. Reichenbach, 30, homeless, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and possession of burglar’s tools at 8:50 a.m. Sunday after officers on patrol near West Fourth Street and Mechanics Alley saw an individual carrying a large section of copper pipe and tools to cut pipe. Officers found Reichenbach had allegedly taken the copper off of a downtown business.
