JAMESTOWN POLICE - Robert G. Gilbert, 24, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest after a warrant check at 6:39 p.m. Monday on the south side of Jamestown. According to a police report, officers accompanied by Chautauqua County Probation conducted a warrant check and found Gilbert inside the home. Gilbert had several outstanding warrants through the Jamestown Police Department and was allegedly an absconder from Chautauqua County Probation. Officers gave Gilbert numerous opportunities to exit the residence before forcing entry into a room where Gilbert had barricaded himself. ...

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — SHERMAN — At around 12:32 p.m. Friday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Mount Pleasant Road for an observed traffic violation. Deputies identified the operator as Philip A Decker, 26, of Dunkirk. Decker was found to have multiple felony arrest warrants through the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Jason M. Skinner, 45, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment at 9:04 p.m. Tuesday after city police officers responded to a domestic incident on the city’s west side. Skinner allegedly hit a youth in the side of the face and also allegedly got into a fight with an adult woman. Police report the fight took place in the presence of a second youth. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — SHERMAN — Shortly after midnight Sunday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 430 in the village. The operator was identified as Seth Troyer. Further investigation found Troyer, 20, of Corry to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Troyer was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated (BAC 0.18% or higher) and littering on a highway.
