GOWANDA POLICE DEPARTMENT — GOWANDA — Gowanda Police apprehended a reckless driver that nearly struck a patrol vehicle on Jan. 11. Timothy M. Brady, 61, was observed by Gowanda Police at approximately 10:27 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11, when he nearly struck a Gowanda Police vehicle exiting a driveway on Buffalo Street in Gowanda. Brady then pulled into the McDonald’s parking lot and failed to stop when prompted by Gowanda Police. Brady continued north onto Buffalo Street. GARAGES DESTROYED IN WESTFIELD FIRE WESTFIELD --- Two garages were destroyed early Friday in a village fire. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department reports at around 3:27 a.m., the Westfield Fire Department responded to 31 Grove St. The fire resulted in a complete loss of the garage and a neighboring garage. After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation team was requested to the scene to conduct an origin and cause fire investigation. NEW YORK STATE POLICE — A personal injury accident involving three individuals was reported by the State Police at Fredonia on Tuesday. Around 2:46 p.m., near the roundabout in Pomfret a three-vehicle accident took place on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. Drivers involved included: Ashlee Rose Rell, 36, of Margate, Fla., Alvin Torres, 61, of Dunkirk and Bradley A. Cowan, 63, of Jamestown. No charges were announced by troopers. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Jerremy G. Dossey, 37, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident at 12:56 a.m. Monday. According to a police report, officers were on patrol when they were flagged down about a plow truck that had struck a street sign with the plow at an intersection. The witness followed the plow truck to a local convenience store and upon the plow truck leaving, it was pointed out to the officer. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — CHAUTAUQUA — At about 6:23 p.m. Sunday, patrol located a vehicle parked on Route 430. The vehicle was partially blocking the lane of traffic and the vehicle’s operator was located a short distance away. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 38-year-old Rhonda M. Geyer of Allegany. Following an investigation it was determined that Geyer was driving the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — KENNEDY — Sheriff’s Office Patrol was dispatched to I-86, Exit 14, for a report of a motor vehicle crash around 2:35 a.m. Sunday. While on scene, deputies gave verbal commands to the operator to exit his vehicle and he did refuse. The operator was assisted out of the vehicle on scene by deputies, and in the process, he did refuse to comply. Once in custody he was evaluated by medical staff and subsequently released.
