CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT - Carson T. Chesley, 32, of Wattsburg, Pa., was charged Sept. 27 with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to use a turn signal, and being an unlicensed operator. According to officials, around 12:27 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the town of French Creek, and upon further investigation, Chesley was found to be driving while intoxicated. Chesley will be in French Creek Town Court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE A 2-year-old child found wandering on Muto Street in Lakewood has led to charges against a woman. Lakewood-Busti Police report the toddler was in the care of Rylie Miller, 24, who did not hear the child leave the residence. He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and released to answer the charges later in court. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — FRENCH CREEK — At around 12:56 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to an address on Route 426 for a reported altercation. Upon arrival and after conducting an investigation, Brett Rater, 35, and Breeanna Byers, 35, both of French Creek, were charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Crystal R. Borst, 35, no address given, was charged Sept. 25 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 1:4 a.m., officers were patrolling the area of 518 N. Main St., near the 7-Eleven store. Officers, police added, observed Borst, who had an active Jamestown City Court Bench Warrant, leaving the store. Rose, 25, of Falconer was charged Tuesday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and backing unsafely. Around 8:45 p.m. deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident in the town. It is alleged that Rose was operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. Woman charged after shooting incident GERRY — A Sinclairville woman is facing charges after recklessly discharging a firearm and injuring an individual. Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies report they and New York State Police responded to a residence on Old Chautauqua Road in the town of Gerry for a reported gunshot victim around 10 a.m. Monday. Through investigation it was found that Toni L. Long, 35, did recklessly discharge a firearm inside of the residence.
