Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges
A quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl was found in a vehicle stopped by Jamestown police early Tuesday.
The traffic stop occurred a little after 6 a.m. in the area of Pine and East Fifth streets.
In a news release, the Jamestown Police Department said the driver, identified as Stephen P. Glover Sr., 38, of Jamestown, was found to have a suspended license. Methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with digital scales, were discovered during a search of the vehicle.
Glover was arraigned in Jamestown City Court and later remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. He is facing charges of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, third- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and failing to signal prior to 100 feet.
