CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ STOCKTON — Jeffrey A. Seekings, 46, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and operating a motor vehicle while registration suspended. Deputies ar 5:53 a.m. on Jan. 1 stopped a vehicle on Putnam Road in the town of Stockton for an observed violation. An investigation found that Seekings was allegedly in possession of metal knuckles and a quantity of cocaine. Seekings is scheduled to appear in court later.

¯ MAYVILLE — Kerry L. Anderson, 54, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Anderson, an inmate at the Chautauqua County Jail, allegedly damaged jail property causing it to be inoperable. Anderson was held for centralized arraignment.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Donald Kemnitzer, 47, of Irving, was charged with petit larceny. Deputies at 8:07 p.m. Feb. 10 responded to Silver Creek for a reported shoplifting in progress. A store employee observed a man allegedly putting items into his jacket pocket. The man was confronted by deputies outside the store. Kemnitzer is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ William R. Tilyou, 32, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Tilyou allegedly took $219.26 worth of merchandise from Walmart on Feb. 10. The items could not be re-sold because they were placed down the front of his shirt. He is scheduled to appear in court later.
