CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ SHERMAN — Shaine L. Allen, 25, of Westfield, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 5:21 p.m. Sunday on Clymer Hill Road in the town of Sherman for an alleged traffic violation. Allen, a passenger in the vehicle, was allegedly found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, suboxone, and hypodermic instruments. Allen is scheduled to appear in Sherman Town Court later.

¯ John R. Steves, 60, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, improper or unsafe turn without signal and operating a motor vehicle while using mobile phone. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 5:46 p.m. Sunday on East Second Street in the city of Jamestown for a traffic violation. An investigation found that Steves was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Amber L. Garofalo, 21, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree assault, aggravated criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief and first-degree burglary. Officers responded at 7 a.m. Saturday to an area of Baker Street for a reported domestic dispute. It was learned that Garofalo has allegedly remained in the victim’s residence unlawfully, assaulted the victim and broke property. Garofalo was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

¯ Gavin T. Long, 20, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded at 2:35 a.m. Monday to East Second Street for a reported domestic dispute. It was learned that Long allegedly punched and broke a window. Long was found nearby and transported to Jamestown City Jail.

¯ Willie J. Wright, 52, of Jamestown, was charged with five counts of first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, three counts of aggravated family offense, two counts of second-degree harassment, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Officers were called at 10:55 p.m. Friday to the north side of the city for a reported domestic incident. It was learned that Wright allegedly held another person against their will with two juveniles present. The victim had a valid order of protection for Wright to stay away. Wright reportedly fled prior to officers arriving but returned about an hour later and attempted to enter the residence by removing an air conditioner. Wright allegedly threatened to kill the victim before fleeing again. He was later taken into custody after officers found him hiding under a vehicle and a brief foot pursuit.

WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Timothy A. Hunzinger, 20, of Westfield, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Officers responded at 2:24 a.m. Monday to Washington Street for a disorderly person. It was learned thart Hunzinger allegedly violated an order of protection. He is scheduled to appear in court later.
