Woman Charged In Break-In
A Jamestown woman who police say broke into a home in Fredonia and stole a purse is facing a host of charges.
The Fredonia Police Department on Thursday announced the arrest of 39-year-old Skyler M. Irish. Officers were called to 161 Central Ave. around 8:30 a.m. for a report of a woman inside a residence.
Officers learned that Skyler allegedly entered the home and struggled with a woman over a purse.
The woman was later treated for an injury to her arm.
Skyler, who was located by police inside the home, was being held for arraignment on charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree robbery, second-degree assault, fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Officers were assisted by University police, the New York State Police and Fredonia fire and EMS.
