ELLICOTT POLICE

¯ Emil Deprospo was charged Thursday with criminal possession of a firearm at 7:50 p.m. Thursday after Ellicott police pulled over a vehicle in Falconer. The driver, Bryant Gauggel, was allegedly driving with a suspended license. During the investigation, Deprospo, a passenger in the back seat of the vehicle, was allegedly found with a handgun and a small amount of marijuana. Gauggel and Deprospo were processed at the Ellicott Police Department and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. They will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

¯ Sally M. Lawson, 62, of Bemus Point, charged Sally M. Lawson, 62, of Bemus Point with second-degree criminal contempt, resisting arrest and second-degree governmental administration after a two-vehicle property damage accident at 4:09 p.m. Thursday on Fairmount and Lovall avenues. According to a police report, Lawson allegedly violated a valid Stay Away Order of Protection by being in a vehicle with a person who had asked for the order. Lawson then allegedly refused to get out of the vehicle on her own and had to be physically removed by police officers. Lawson was charged after a brief struggle and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until she could be arraigned.

¯ Wilfredo Castrillo, 43, of Jamestown was charged with aggravated family offense and two counts of criminal contempt at 7:49 a.m. Friday after officers responded to a report that Castrillo was in a Barrett Avenue residence despite two active Stay Away Orders of Protection to stay away from two people in the home. Police reportedly found Castrillo hiding in a closet in the property. He was charged and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ STOCKTON — Nicholas J. Gaskin, 32, of Jamestown was charged with speed in excess of 55 miles an hour, unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 11:25 p.m. Thursday on Route 380 in Stockton. According to a police report, deputies pulled Gaskin’s vehicle over for a traffic infraction. He was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail pending centralized arraignment.

¯ ELLERY — Anthony J. Kozaczki, 41, of Jamestown was charged with three counts of felony driving while intoxicated – Leandra’s Law, one count of felony DWI for having a previous DWI conviction within the past 10 years, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of .18% or greater and speeding at 10:35 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 86 in Ellery. Kozaczki was allegedly speeding when he was pulled over. He was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for the Centralized Arraignment Program and will be in court later.
