CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
POMFRET – Dennis A. Wallace, 36, of Dunkirk was charged Sunday with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. At approximately 10:10 p.m., deputies conducted an investigation into an individual possessing a banned assault rifle and found Wallace in possession of an illegal assault rifle. Wallace is currently in custody for an unrelated charge and will answer the weapon possession charge at Pomfret Court on a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Chady L. Chamberlain, 32, of Jamestown was charged Monday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of petit larceny. At approximately 4:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to 1026 Allen St. for a fight. Upon arrival, officers observed the defendant – Chamberlain – being detained by a few subjects. It was determined that Chamberlain had stolen from two vehicles parked in the driveway. Property belonging in both vehicles was located on Chamberlain’s person. The driver side door on of the vehicles was also damaged by Chamberlain. He was transported to city jail without incident.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Ronald M. Livk, 73, of Falconer was charged Monday with petit larceny. Police were called to the Dollar General store on West Main Street in Falconer where store employees had detained Livk for reportedly removing merchandise from the store without paying for it. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Lisandro M. Sanchez, 33, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday at approximately 2:45 p.m. with petit larceny. It is alleged that Sanchez stole $148 in merchandise from Sears in the Chautauqua Mall. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
LITTLE VALLEY – Cassandra Lee Milligan, 33, of Allegany was charged Monday with violation of probation warrant. At approximately 8:55 a.m., Milligan was arrested on a violation of a probation warrant issued out of the Cattaraugus County Supreme Court. Milligan turned herself into the Sheriff’s Office and was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
RANDOLPH – Erik J. Lindquist, 33, of Kennedy was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, DWI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and inadequate exhaust after a traffic stop on Spring Street. He is due back in Randolph Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Nicole Parsons, 26, of Jamestown was charged Monday with no/improper signal, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, felony driving while intoxicated and aggravated felony DWI. At approximately 1:08 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a 2001 Subaru sedan that failed to use a turn signal near the intersection of Weeks and Falconer streets. Further investigation revealed that the driver-Parsons-was intoxicated and had a revoked New York state license. Parsons was transported to the city jail where a chemical breath test revealed a blood alcohol content twice the legal limit. Parsons is currently pending arraignment.
Shanta L. Reid, 28, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with failure to stop at a stop sign, no/improper signal, open container, driving while intoxicated and DWI Per Se. At approximately 4:18 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a blue sedan that failed to stop at a stop sign near the intersection of Institute Street at the Arterial. Further investigation revealed that the driver-Reid-was intoxicated. Reid was transported to the city jail where a chemical breath test revealed a blood alcohol content twice the legal limit. She was released on bail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Nicholes Martin, 21, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child on Friday at 11:12 p.m. Jamestown Police officers were dispatched to Prospect Street for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers could hear a male yelling and being disorderly in the upper apartment. Officers could not gain entry into the entry way of the apartment because it was locked. They advised the male subject to open the door, which he refused, police said. Officers gained entry and learned Martin assaulted the victim in front of an infant child and did damage to the residence, police said. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
James Eastham, 18, of Falconer, was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal impersonation, obstructing governmental administration and unlawful possession of alcohol under 21 years of age on Saturday at 8:45 p.m. Jamestown Police observed an individual enter Forest Avenue near McKinley Avenue and remain in the roadway, causing the officer to stop his patrol car. The individual allegedly gave officers a false name and was later identified as Eastham. Eastham was also found to be in possession of an amount of alcohol, police said. Eastham, also while in the back of the patrol car and in handcuffs, allegedly moved his handcuffs to the front of his body and refused to exit the car. He was held on bail.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
RIPLEY – Ruth Wheat, 22, of Gowanda, was charged with driving while intoxicated and crossing hazard markings on Saturday at 4:19 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Route 20 in Ripley for a report of an erratic operator. Deputies located the vehicle and observed Wheat commit a vehicle and traffic violation. Deputies pulled her over and upon further investigation, it was found that Wheat was operating her vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol, police said. Wheat was taken into custody and arraigned in Ripley Court. She was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail on $1,500 bail or $3,000 property bond.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SALAMANCA- On Thursday at 6:50 p.m., deputies arrested Darrin Jon Lichy on a bench warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Court. He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $500 bail, and is to return to the Cattaraugus County Court at a later date.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
PINE GROVE- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating several cases of mailbox smashing and damage to motor vehicles in Conewango as well as Pine Grove in Warren County. Witnesses describe the suspect vehicle as an older model station wagon with a headlight out occupied by two male subjects. It appears as though the suspects used an axe in the commission of the crimes, as indicated by the damage caused. LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Michael J. Pace-Segura, 17, of Lakewood was charged Friday at approximately 2:58 p.m. with fourth-degree criminal mischief after he was caught damaging property in the Lakewood Walmart. He was issued an appearance ticket and released to his mother. He is due back in Busti Court on May 8.
Bonnie L. Swartz, 49, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 9:01 p.m., Swartz was caught leaving the Lakewood Wal-Mart with merchandise she did not purchase. It was discovered that she damaged some of the property during the larceny. She will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
Cassandra L. Olson, 26, of Ashville, and Brittany I. Nelson, 26, of Jamestown were charged Wednesday with petit larceny. At approximately 9:35 p.m., both subjects were caught leaving the Lakewood Wal-Mart with merchandise thay did not purchase. They will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

HANOVER – Ronald Viscuso, 50, of Hanover was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree harassment. He was arraigned in Hanover Court and committed to the county jail in lieu of bail.
POMFRET – A 17-year-old male from Fredonia was charged Friday on a probation warrant stemming from a petit larceny. Deputies conducted a warrant check at the man’s home on Route 60. He was committed to the county jail.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Joseph R. Lindberg, 17, of West Ellicott was charged April 15 with fourth-degree criminal mischief and numerous vehicle and traffic violations. At approximately 1:30 a.m., police were dispatched to a West Ellicott neighborhood for an unrelated incident. Police stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle and found Lindberg as the operator. Investigation revealed that Lindberg drove his vehicle through a vacant lot and damaged the lawn of another person. He will appear in Ellicott Court on a later date.
Julie K. Stutzman, 37, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with endangering the welfare of a child. Police received a report to check the well-being of a 9-year-old child who had missed 50 days of school this year. After officers located the child, further investigation led to the arrest of Stutzman. She will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
CHAUTAUQUA – Raymond A. Gates, 28, of Chautauqua was charged Wednesday with fugitive from justice. At approximately 8:09 p.m., Gates was taken into custody on Potter Road. Gates was wanted by Erie County, Pa. for a probation violation. He was arraigned in Chautauqua Court and remanded to the county jail, awaiting extradition from Erie County.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Richard G. Raynor, 22, and Brandon M. Doud, 21, both of Jamestown were charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration. At approximately 2:30 a.m., police observed two male subjects walking in the area of Catlin and Fairmount avenues. They were carrying flashlights and looking into parked cars. When officers attempted to perform a street check, they fled on foot. Both subjects were apprehended after a brief foot pursuit and transported to the city jail. They are currently awaiting arraignment.

Patrick A. Purpera, 59, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with petit larceny and criminal mischief after he was observed taking merchandise from Wal-Mart without paying for it. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
A 14-year-old juvenile, of West Ellicott, was charged Wednesday with third-degree assault. At approximately 5:50 p.m., police were dispatched to a West Ellicott residence for a report of a domestic dispute between two juvenile brothers. Investigation found that the 14-year-old punched his 13-year-old brother in the face numerous times, causing him to sustain a swollen black and blue eye. The 14-year-old will appear in Family Court at a later date.
Roger D. Markham, 30, of Falconer was charged Wednesday with second-degree harassment. A female victim told police that Markham allegedly got into an altercation with her, shoving her down the stairs. Markham will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
OLEAN – Lennard C. Everitt, 52, of Olean was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree stalking, second-degree criminal contempt and violation of probation. Everitt was taken into custody after failing to meet the requirements for his probation. He was remanded to county jail in lieu of $500 bail. He will appear in Allegany Court on May 12 at 3 p.m.
OLEAN – Jonathan D. Darcy, 29, of Olean was charged Tuesday with a Family Court violation. At approximately 9:15 p.m., Darcy was taken into custody on a warrant for a violation of Family Court. He was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
SALAMANCA – John H. Lobaugh, 36, of Kenmore was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated, failure to use designated lane and operating out of class. The charges came after a traffic stop on Route 353 just before 9 p.m. He was taken into custody, arraigned in Salamanca Court and transported to the county jail where he is being held on $1,000 bail. He will appear in Salamanca Court at a later date.

ELLICOTT – David W. Swanson, 47, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Route 60 for failing to dim his headlights. Troopers detected an odor of alcohol and after field sobriety tests placed Swanson under arrest for DWI. He was transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown where a blood alcohol content of .09 was obtained. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date. She was released to a third party.

PORTLAND – Amanda L. Costanzo, 19, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with third-degree assault. Deputies took a report of an incident that had allegedly occurred on Doloff Road around 1 a.m. Following an investigation, Costanzo was arrested. She will appear in Poland Court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Kristy L. Martinez, 43, of Jamestown was charged on April 8 with petit larceny. After a brief investigation, Martinez was identified as a subject who entered Sears and took merchandise without paying for it. She will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
Mark W. Frankson, 46, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating out of the interlock restriction (misdemeanor) and operating with hands not on handlebars (violation). Frankson was stopped on East Second Street after troopers observed him driving his motorcycle with no hands and swerving on the roadway. A strong odor of alcohol was detected and after sobriety tests, Frankson was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown for processing where a blood alcohol content of .16 was obtained. All tickets are returnable to Jamestown Court.
ELLICOTT – William R. Swanson, 58, of Kennedy was charged Sunday with felony driving while intoxicated, menacing a police officer, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct. Troopers attempted to interview Swanson regarding a complaint of a man driving on Poland Center Road and yelling at residents. Swanson was located at his residence where he menaced a trooper with a billy club upon answering the door. Swanson was taken into custody and transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown where he was processed and a blood alcohol content of .26 was obtained. He was arraigned in Ellicott Court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.
SHERMAN – Daryl Freeman, 44, of Sherman was charged Sunday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and trespass after an investigation into a report of trespass and larceny of metal scrap in Sherman. Freeman was found to be in possession of the stolen scrap metal and was transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown for processing. He was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Sherman Court at a later date.

HANOVER – Ronald A. Shane, 46, of Buffalo was charged Sunday with second-degree criminal nuisance. Susan R. Clarke, 43, of Buffalo was charged Sunday with disobeyed traffic control device. At approximately 9:50 p.m., deputies observed Shane exit a vehicle and remove two “Road Closed” barriers that were placed on Hanover Road to block traffic from a large sink hole. Clarke – the driver of the vehicle – then drove through the closed roadway. Deputies stopped the vehicle and charged both subjects. They will return to Hanover Court at a later date.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Joey D. Stutzman, 19, was charged Friday with criminal mischief and resisting arrest. At approximately 3 p.m., police were called to a domestic incident at a West Ellicott residence. Upon arrival, officers determined that Stutzman was out of control, having broken a glass door earlier. When an officer tried to take Stutzman into custody, he refused to cooperate and fled the scene. After a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody. Stutzman was remanded to county jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 property bail.
Kevin N. Young, 24, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with uninspected motor vehicle, no signal, failure to maintain lane, driving while intoxicated and DWI of 0.8 percent or higher. At approximately 1:52 a.m., police observed a vehicle commit several vehicle and traffic law violations on Tiffany Avenue. Police stopped the vehicle and determined that the driver – Young – was intoxicated. He will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Michael T. Main, 25, of Kennedy was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct. At approximately 4:05 a.m., police observed a vehicle peel out and squeal its tires when leaving the Kingsmen Motorcycle Club on West Main Street in Falconer. Police stopped the vehicle and charged Main for creating the unreasonable noise. He will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Tyler L. Martin, 22, of Sugar Grove was charged Sunday with fugitive from justice. During a street check of four subjects on Bailey Street in Celoron, it was found that Martin had a warrant out of Warren County, Pa. Martin was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to the county jail.

ASHFORD – Richardo A. Hoyos, 43, of Alliston, Ontario. was charged Tuesday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, speed in zone and no headlamp. At approximately 2 a.m., Hoyos was stopped for speeding and an inadequate headlamp. A check of his license revealed that he was suspended in New York for a failure to answer a summons from Salamanca Court on March 18, 2012. He was arraigned in Ashford Court and remanded to the county jail on $1,100 cash bail. He is due back in Ashford Court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Damon L. Maull, 29, was charged Saturday with violation of parole. At approximately 4:30 a.m., Maull was arrested in Salamanca on a violation of parole warrant and remanded to the county jail.

SILVER CREEK – Jesse S. Nahrebeski, 19, of Silver Creek was charged Saturday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 7:03 p.m., deputies witnessed Nahrebeski driving a vehicle and determined that his New York driving privileges had been suspended. Deputies stopped the vehicle and took Nahrebeski back to his residence. He had a small bag of marijuana in his pocket, police said. He will appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date.
WESTFIELD – Carlos Figueroa, 38, of Westfield, was charged Sunday with second-degree criminal contempt, third-degree criminal tampering and second-degree harassment. At approximately 10:30 a.m., deputies responded to an earlier harassment issue where it was alleged that Figueroa struck an individual during an altercation. There was also an order of protection in place between Figueroa and the victim. A warrant was issued and Figueroa was picked up without incident. He was arraigned in Westfield Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of bail.
MINA – Amanda K. Messina, 29, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, DWI of .08 percent or higher and driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street. At approximately 4:30 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on Interstate 86. Deputies found the vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lane. Investigation revealed that the driver – Messina – was intoxicated. She will appear in Mina Court next month.
FRENCH CREEK – Levi J. Chaffee, 24, of Union City, Pa., was charged Sunday with DWI, DWI of 0.8 percent or higher, failure to dim highbeams, failure to stop at stop sign and failure to keep right. At approximately 2:30 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Conway Road for several traffic infractions. Investigation determined that the driver – Chaffee – was intoxicated. He will appear in French Creek Court next month.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Charles Hough, 57, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with second-degree menacing. At approximately 11:30 p.m., police responded to the Noeplace apartments located at 207 Spring St. for a report of an earlier harassment. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who alleged that Hough threatened him with a dangerous instrument. Further investigation revealed that Hough had made several threats toward the victim and had confronted him while displaying a kitchen knife, police said. Hough was taken into custody without incident and transported to the city jail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Gary Woodmansee, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated with a .08 percent blood alcohol content or higher, driving a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition and leaving the scene of a property damage accident Saturday at 9:22 a.m. Officers responded to West Eighth and Washington streets for a property damage accident. When officers arrived, allegedly one of the vehicles had already left, going east on West Eighth Street. The vehicle that fled was located a short time later on Strong Street at Prendergast Avenue. Several witnesses saw the driver, identified as Woodmansee, of the vehicle get out and walk away. Woodmansee was located by officers on Falconer at Grant streets. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident where he was being held for arraignment.
Jose Rosa, 39, of Jamestown, was charged with no/inadequate headlamps, driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated Saturday at 1:32 a.m. Jamestown Police observed a vehicle north on North Main Street without headlamps on. Police stopped this vehicle at North Main and West Thirteenth streets for no headlamps, and the operator was identified as Rosa. Rosa was allegedly found to be highly intoxicated and placed under arrest. Rosa did consent to a chemical test and the results were greater than a .18 percent blood alcohol content, making this an aggravated DWI.
Warkim Keys, 27, of Jamestown, was charged with no/inadequate lights, failure to keep right, unsafe backing, open container and driving while intoxicated Saturday at 1:34 a.m. Officers effected a traffic stop on a blue four-door sedan that was driving westbound on East Second near East Fifth streets without any headlights on. As the vehicle was pulling over near the intersection of East Fifth Street at Prendergast Avenue, Keys allegedly put the vehicle in reverse and the car backed into a Jamestown patrol car. Further investigation revealed that Keys was intoxicated and had an open container in the car, police said. He was placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he refused to submit to a chemical breath test.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SHERIDAN- Lee Seybold, 52, of Sheridan, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Saturday at 2:07 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Seybold’s residence for an unwanted person. Deputies allegedly observed marijuana in the residence. It was then determined the marijuana belonged to Seybold. He was taken into custody and released with appearance tickets to appear in court at a later date.
PORTLAND- On Saturday at 10:10 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies, assisted by K-9 Drago, apprehended Byron Lawton, 40, of Brocton. Lawton had an outstanding probation warrant for a second-degree criminal sexual act charge. He was taken to Chautauqua County Jail and held without bail.
JAMESTOWN- James Harrier Jr., 51, of Jamestown, was charged with moving from a lane unsafely, driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher Saturday at 8:53 p.m. Deputies observed a vehicle move from its lane unsafely while traveling on Jones and Gifford in Jamestown. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Harrier. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Harrier was intoxicated, police said. He was arrested and will appear in Jamestown Court at a later date.

LITTLE VALLEY- John Ryan, 43, of Otto, was charged for disorderly conduct following a fight call at the Cattaraugus Firemen’s Club. He was taken to Little Valley Court for arraignment and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $300 bail.

Pennsylvania State Police are looking for individuals in Warren County who are putting explosives in victims’ mailboxes. The incident occurred during the nighttime hours and the explosives are known as “works bombs” and are made with household items. Anyone with information regarding suspects in these incidents are asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police in Warren or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

HANOVER – Candi L. Radowsky, 43, of Silver Creek was charged Thursday with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. At approximately 10:55 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a female passed out on the side of the roadway. Further investigation revealed that the female – Radowsky – was in possession of a dagger-style knuckle knife. Radowsky will appear in Hanover Court at a later date.
MAYVILLE – David M. Douglas, 34, of Mayville was charged Thursday with second-degree assault. At approximately 9 p.m., Douglas was apprehended at a Valley Street residence in Mayville. Douglas was wanted on a second-degree assault warrant. He was arraigned and remanded to the county jail on $3,000 bail/$6,000 property.
NORTH HARMONY – Andrew J. Sheldon, 27, of Ashville was charged Thursday with petit larceny. At approximately 6:15 p.m., deputies apprehended Sheldon on a bench warrant out of North Harmony. Sheldon was wanted out of North Harmony for failing to appear on a charge for petit larceny. He will appear in North Harmony Court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
A 16-year-old female of Syracuse was charged Thursday with petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property at approximately 7 p.m. It is alleged that she stole $130 merchandise from Sears in the Chautauqua Mall. While processing, she was found to be in possession of $108.88 in merchandise from the DEB store that she did not pay for. She was arraigned and will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
SALAMANCA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Corsha D. Tibbs, 20, of Salamanca was charged Monday with fourth-degree criminal mischief following an incident in Salamanca.
Amos Krause, 29, of Salamanca was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest. He is being held pending arraignment.
Amy Fisher of Salamanca was charged on April 9 with endangering the welfare of a child. She will appear in court at a later date.

Justin A. Miller, 20, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with unlicensed operator, inadequate muffler, illegal tint and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop for a loud muffler and window tint violation. Upon stopping the vehicle, state police detected a strong odor of marijuana and Miller was found to possess 13 grams of marijuana. He was issued traffic tickets and will appear in Cold Spring Court at a later date.

DUNKIRK – Nicholas E. Moore, 24, of Dunkirk was charged Thursday with one count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. At approximately 11:30 a.m., Moore turned himself into authorities at the Dunkirk Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Dunkirk Court. It is alleged that Moore sold quantities of an opiate-based narcotics substance to agents of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. Moore was committed to county jail pending further action of the court. The arrest culminates a three-month investigation into sales by Moore within Dunkirk. The arrest was the result of information supplied by members of the community after it was observed that there was narcotics trafficking in the neighborhood.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Jonathan S. Axford, 39, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, open container of alcohol in vehicle, no stop/stand/parking on the highway and insufficient turn signal. At approximately 1:22 a.m., officers observed a vehicle on Foote Avenue near Briggs Street stopped in the middle of the road for no reason. The vehicle then began to move and used an improper turn signal. Officers conducted a traffic stop on this vehicle on South Main Street near the Arterial. During the interview, a strong odor of intoxicants came from Axford and an open container of alcohol was in plain view. Axford failed several standardized field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He was transported to city jail without incident. He is currently awaiting arraignment.
Marc A. Chesney, 41, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with aggravated harassment, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. At approximately 12:06 a.m., officers were dispatched to 415 Newland Ave. for a noise complaint. Officers were advised of a valid arrest warrant for Chesney. When officers advised Chesney of the warrant, he attempted to slam the door on them. He also physically resisted officers during his arrest. Officers deployed an electrical weapon and OC Spray when taking Chesney into custody. He was transported to city jail and is pending arraignment.

Cheyenne Lynn Armstrong, 33, of Salamanca was charged Tuesday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree grand larceny. At approximately 2 a.m., Armstrong was charged on an arrest warrant issued by Great Valley Court for arraignment. She was transported from the Salamanca Police Department to Great Valley Court for arraignment. She was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $500 bail. Armstrong is due back in court on May 14 at 4 p.m.

Desirae S. Bradford, 29, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI, failure to keep right and failure to use turn signal. At approximately 12:28 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Allen Street for failure to keep right and failing to use a turn signal. Further investigation revealed that the driver – Bradford – was intoxicated. She was transported to city jail where a chemical breath test revealed a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit. Bradford is currently awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.
Shawnette L. Williamson, 20, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and failure to signal. At approximately 2:21 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Chapin Street after observing it make an illegal right turn. Officers found the occupants attempting to hide from officers inside the vehicle. Investigation revealed that the driver – Williamson – was intoxicated. She was transported to city jail where a breath test revealed a blood alcohol content over the legal limit. Williamson is currently awaiting arraignment at the city jail.

William E. Hann, 34, of Warren, Pa., Tammy S. Lampman, 43, of Jamestown and Jessica L. Hann, 32, of Warren, Pa., were charged Tuesday with trespass. Police responded to a trespass complaint and found the above subjects in violation of trespassing on the railroad tracks. All three will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Kelly T. Short, 61, of Falconer was charged Wednesday with petit larceny. Police received a complaint from a homeowner in Falconer that he had observed his neighbor remove loose stone work from his foundation and place it on his property. Short will appear in court at a later date.

BROCTON – James D. Seavy Jr., 50, of Brocton was charged Saturday with forcible touching and second-degree harassment. At approximately 1:38 a.m., deputies responded to a call of a disorderly male at Old Mill Road. Upon arrival, deputies were informed that Seavy was allegedly intoxicated and threatening several subjects at the residence, while refusing to leave. It was also alleged that Seavy verbally harassed and inappropriately touched a female at the residence. After being located unconscious in the yard of a Main Street residence, Seavy was treated by Brocton EMS and transported to Westfield Memorial Hospital. He will appear in Brocton Court at a later date.

LITTLE VALLEY – Sterling Pierce, 17, of Salamanca was charged on April 7 with a Salamanca violation of probation bench warrant. He was apprehended in Little Valley and transported to the Salamanca Police Department and will appear in Salamanca Court at a later date.
LITTLE VALLEY – Joseph E. Novak, 20, of Frewsburg was charged Friday with second-degree aggravated harassment and endangering the welfare of a child after an incident the previous day in Little Valley. He was processed and is due back in Little Valley Court at a later date.
ELLICOTTVILLE – Jarrd M. Ray, 44, of Salamanca was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated, driving with .08 percent or more of alcohol, open container of alcohol and no/inadequate plate lamp. At approximately 10:47 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle with no plate lamp traveling on Washington Street. Upon stopping the vehicle, deputies determined that the driver – Ray – was intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content of .09 percent. He will appear in Ellicottville Court at the end of the month.
LITTLE VALLEY – David E. Mohr, 32, of Cattaraugus was charged Friday on an active Little Valley bench warrant after a traffic stop. Mohr was arraigned in New Albion Court and released. He will appear in Little Valley Court on April 23 to face charges.
YORKSHIRE – Anthony Paul Dutcher, 23, of Tonawanda was charged Saturday with second-degree harassment. At approximately 3:35 a.m., Dutcher was apprehended on an arrest warrant issued by Yorkshire Court. He was arraigned at the court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. He is due back in Yorkshire Court on May 8 at 6 p.m.

CHERRY CREEK – Tina M. Fritz, 47, of Forestville was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, uninspected vehicle and littering after State Troopers stopped her for littering on Route 83. During the stop, a strong odor of alcohol was detected and Fritz was placed under arrest and transported to the state police in Jamestown for processing where a blood alcohol content of .10 was obtained. Fritz was issued tickets and is to appear in Cherry Creek Court. he was released to a third party.
Megan E. Ludwiczak, 25, was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana after State Troopers stopped her for failing to keep right on Park Street. While interviewing Ludwiczak, Troopers detected an odor of alcohol and marihuana. After field sobriety tests, Ludwiczak was placed under arrest and transported to the state police in Jamestown where a blood alcohol content of .25 was obtained. She was issued tickets and will appear in Jamestown Court at a later date. She was released to a third party.

SILVER CREEK-Aaron L. Green, 29, of Silver Creek was charged Monday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate muffler. At approximately 12 p.m., deputies stopped a motor vehicle for a loud exhaust system. A New York state driver’s license check revealed that Green’s driving privileges were revoked. He will appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date.
HARMONY-Christina S. Blair, 31, of Ashville was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with .08 percent or higher and speed in zone. At approximately 6 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Blockville-Watts Flats Road. Investigation determined that the driver-Blair-was intoxicated. She will appear in Harmony Court at a later date.
DUNKIRK-Bobby L. Allen, 34, of Dunkirk was charged Friday with numerous counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. At approximately 6 p.m., Dunkirk Police and New York State parole officers located and arrested Allen on an outstanding Chautauqua County Court grand jury indictment warrant. An investigation by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force alleged that Allen sold quantities of cocaine to agents of the task force on numerous occasions from his Dunkirk residence. Allen was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Scott C. Gould, of Jamestown, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, DWI Per Se, unlicensed operation and insufficient tail lamp. At approximately 2:20 a.m., Gould was stopped by police for an insufficient tail lamp on Forest Avenue extension. Further investigation revealed that Gould was intoxicated and that he didn’t have a valid New York State driver’s license. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
Patrick S. Seekings, 21, Falconer was charged on March 27 with second-degree burglary and petit larceny. At approximately 6 p.m., Seekings entered a home unlawfully and stole a Samsung computer tablet. He was eventually located after a lengthy investigation and arraigned in Busti Court. He was sent to the county jail on $20,000 bail.
Joseph J. Giordano, 53, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment. At approximately 2:30 p.m., Giordano made threatening and alarming phone calls to a victim while she was at work. A warrant was issued and Giordano was arrested.

MAYVILLE – Nicholas J. Coletta, 33, of Harborcreek, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right Sunday at 1 a.m. Deputies stopped a vehicle on North Erie Street, and an investigation determined Coletta, the driver, was intoxicated, police said. He was taken into custody and later released. He will appear in Chautauqua Court later this month.
HANOVER – David K. Schenk, 43, of Irving, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and moving from a lane unsafely Saturday at 11 p.m. Deputies observed a vehicle make a traffic violation on Routes 5 and 20. After stopping the vehicle, deputies determined Schenk was intoxicated, police said. He was taken into custody and issued appearance tickets. He was released to a sober party and will be in court later.
SILVER CREEK – Wednesday at 8:24 p.m., deputies allegedly observed two males creating a disturbance. They approached the two males. One ran while deputies attempted to place him in custody and then resisted arrest. The suspect who ran, a 17-year-old, was charged with breach of peace, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, police said. He was arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. The second suspect, also 17, was released with an appearance ticket for breach of peace.
FREWSBURG – Amy M. Schulz, 46, of Frewsburg, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to yield the right of way, aggravated DWI, DWI per-se and failure to notify the DMV of a change of address. Saturday at 1:35 p.m., deputies responded to a property-damage accident at Ivory and Falconer streets. One motorist fled the scene before police arrived. With assistance from the public, the vehicle and driver were located at her residence. Further investigation led to the charges. Police said a license check revealed the suspect had a prior DWI conviction in 2007, making this charge a felony. Also, her blood alcohol content was 0.24 percent, resulting in the aggravated DWI charge. No one was injured.
SHERIDAN – Chistopher M. Walker, 37, of McKean, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and unlicensed operation April 6 at 3:41 p.m. Deputies responded to the Green Frog gas station for a report of a reckless driver. Deputies determined Walker was the driver and that he was intoxicated. Walker will appear in Sheridan Court to answer the charges.
JAMESTOWN – Alexandrea E. Emerling, 27, of Jamestown, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and inadequate headlamps Friday at 10:09 p.m. Deputies stopped a vehicle for having less than two headlamps. They identified Emerling as the driver. Following an interview, she surrendered a small baggie of marijuana and a glass pipe. She was released to appear in Jamestown Court later.
BROCTON – Mathew Mulville, 24, of Brocton, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief Friday at 5:50 a.m. Deputies responded to a report of someone throwing a rock through a window at a West Main Street apartment building. Investigation into the incident resulted in the criminal mischief charge. Mulville was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in Brocton Court.

LITTLE VALLEY – Gage L. Ellis, 22, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, uninspected motor vehicle, inadequate headlamps and no plate lamps Friday at 8:13 p.m. While on patrol, sheriff’s deputies observed a Subaru traveling eastbound on Fair Oak Street with a headlamp out. Upon turning around and following the Subaru, sheriff’s deputies observed the vehicle had no plate lamps. Sheriff’s deputies stopped the vehicle and identified Ellis as the operator. After further investigation, police determined Ellis was driving with a suspended license. Ellis was arraigned in Salamanca Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $250 bail. He will appear in Little Valley Court later this month.
OLEAN – Katie M. Pletl, 20, of Olean, was taken into custody on a bench warrant out of Cattaraugus County and transported to Cattaraugus County Jail on Thursday at 2:10 p.m. Police said she will be held until the next court session.

Jessica L. White, of Spring Creek, Pa., was charged with petit larceny and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child Thursday at 1:20 p.m. Police said White took $139.96 in merchandise from Sears. The subject had children with her during the incident, police said.

SHERIDAN-Mary Rigby, 65, of Angola was charged Friday with failure to yield the right of way. At approximately 9:35 a.m., Rigby was traveling southbound on Center Road and proceeded into the intersection of Route 39 after stopping at a stop sign. She collided into another vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Route 39 and had the right of way. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage, but neither driver required medical attention. Rigby will appear in Sheridan Court at a later date.

Tyrone B. Hoosier, 29, of Jamestown was charged Friday with obstructing governmental administration. At approximately 12:30 p.m., Hoosier initiated a foot pursuit with city officers during a traffic stop. With the assistance of city residents, Hoosier was found and apprehended without incident. He was transported to jail where he is being held for arraignment. During the investigation, it was discovered that Hoosier was wanted for two warrants from Jamestown City Court.

Tyler W. Blair, 19, of Falconer and a 17-year-old juvenile were charged Monday with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 8:47 p.m., Blair and the juvenile were detained at the Lakewood Wal-Mart taking merchandise from the store and attempting to leave the store without paying for it. Further investigation revealed that the two subjects had destroyed some of the merchandise. Both will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
Robin L. Kestler, 53, of Ashville was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of .08 percent of alcohol or more, failure to keep right and unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 8:57 p.m., police spotted a vehicle heading west on Route 394 in Busti. The vehicle was swerving in its lane and crossing the center line of the roadway. Upon stopping, police determined that the driver-Kestler-was intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. She is due back in court at a later date.
Elizabeth A. Swanson, 18, of Kennedy was charged Friday with petit larceny. At approximately 3:30 p.m., Swanson was charged after stealing merchandise valued at $154.88 from Sears in Lakewood. She attempted to place the merchandise in her purse and exit the store. Swanson will appear in court at a later date.

LITTLE VALLEY-Zeno R. Whiteman, 23, of Little Valley was charged Tuesday with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. At approximately 5:45 p.m., Whiteman was charged after assaulting an individual in a vehicle while two young children were seated in the rear of that vehicle. He is due back in Little Valley Court at a later date. In addition, Scott M. Milks Jr., 28, of Randolph was charged with second-degree harassment after he threatened and struck Whiteman later in the evening in connection with the same incident. At approximately 6:18 a.m., deputies observed a vehicle exceeding the posted speed limit. After stopping the vehicle, the deputies determined that the driver – Stoll – was in violation of an order of protection issued to stay away from four passengers in the car. At approximately 2:40 a.m., deputies observed a northbound vehicle on Route 60 dragging its muffler and showering sparks under the vehicle. After stopping the vehicle, deputies determined that the vehicle was unregistered and the driver – Hough – was intoxicated. Hough will appear in Dunkirk Court at a later date.

Wanda L. Nazario, 38, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with third-degree assault. At approximately 12:07 a.m., officers responded to a fight call at the intersection of Winsor Street at Orchard Street. Investigation revealed that Nazario had assaulted a 22-year-old female which resulted in substantial injuries to the victim. Nazario was transported to city jail and is awaiting arraignment.

MAYVILLE – Martin L. Wenzel, 27, of Mayville and Kyle C. Langer, 24, of Mayville were both charged on Saturday with unlawful growing of marijuana, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after state police checked a residence on Route 430 for a subject wanted on a warrant. Wenzel was additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. A third man, Dustin D. Taves, 25 of Sherman was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. All three are to appear in Chautauqua Court.
David P. Gendron, 42, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with felony driving while intoxicated after he ran a red light on Second Street in Jamestown. Gendron was transported to state police in Jamestown for processing where a BAC of .08 was obtained. Gendron was issued tickets returnable to Jamestown Court and released to a third party.

Robert F. Majak, 50, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with petit larceny. At approximately 1 a.m., police went to the CVS store in Brooklyn Square for a reported shoplifting. Majak reportedly stole a 30-pack of beer. He was located at his residence and taken into custody. He is awaiting arraignment at the city jail.
Samantha J. Ellsworth, 18, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with petit larceny. At approximately 3:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to 708 E. Second St. in response to a shoplifting incident that occurred Monday at 6:20 p.m. Employees stated that a female stole $23.25 worth of merchandise and observed this on video camera. When the female returned to the store Tuesday, employees called the police. Ellsworth was transported to city jail.

James A. Bellomo, 36, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and criminal possession of a controlled substance. At approximately 4 p.m., police dispatched to Wal-Mart for a suspicious male subject possibly attempting to pass a bad check. While officers were en route, the suspect fled toward the Chautauqua Mall. He was located hiding behind some bushes along the OfficeMax. Officers found what appeared to be an orange cap of a hypodermic instrument in his pocket. Since he had no medical reason to have this instrument, he was taken into custody and properly searched. A small quantity of heroin was found during the search. Bellomo was arraigned in Busti Court and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.

COLDSPRING – Scott F. Irvin, 54, of Coldspring was charged Sunday with third-degree criminal mischief, resisting and second-degree harassment. At approximately 6:15 p.m., deputies dispatched to a domestic dispute in which Irvin allegedly shoved his girlfriend and broke the window of her vehicle. He resisted deputies while being taken into custody. Irvin was arraigned at Coldspring Court and transported to county jail where he is being held on $5,000 bail.
PORTVILLE – John M. Barber, 27, of Portville was charged Sunday with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. At approximately 4:30 a.m., Barber allegedly took the victim’s vehicle without permission to go to a bar. He is scheduled to appear in Portville Court at a later date.

DUNKIRK – Dierra Leber, 17, was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana after Fredonia State Troopers stopped her vehicle on Route 5 for having a headlight out. While interviewing Leber, a strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. A gram of marijuana was located in the vehicle. Leber was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Dunkirk Court on April 28.

At approximately 10:53 p.m., a patrol responded to a complaint from a female victim that a male subject had groped her against her will. It is alleged that Swan touched the intimate parts of the victim in an inappropriate way. Swan will appear in Chautauqua Court at a later date.

Robert M. Fallan, 25, of Jamestown, was charged Sunday with second-degree criminal trespass. Police were dispatched to an apartment complex in Falconer for a possible assault. Investigation found that no assault had occurred but that Fallan entered an apartment unlawfully. He will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Arnold A. Hewitt, of Falconer, was charged Friday with second-degree criminal contempt. It is alleged that Hewitt violated the conditions of an order of protection that was issued by the Jamestown City Court. Hewitt allegedly walked by a business on West Main Street several times knowing that the victim was inside. He was arrested on the scene and arraigned in Ellicott Court.

Brooke Whitehill, 21, was charged with false personation on Saturday at 8:32 p.m. Jamestown Police officers performed a street check of Whitehill at 340 Allen St. Whitehill allegedly gave officers a false name. Officers determined she did so because she had a valid warrant out of Jamestown City Court. Whitehill was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail where she was awaiting arraignment.
Craig VanHook, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with public consumption of alcohol, unlawful possession of marijuana, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Friday at 10:54 p.m. The Jamestown Police Department K-9 unit performed a check of two males walking out of the 7-Eleven on East Second Street. While doing so, officers allegedly observed VanHook consuming a beverage and placing it on top of a propane tank storage unit outside. Officers spoke with VanHook, who admitted to offers that he was drinking an alcoholic beverage, police said. He was then taken into custody without incident and officers of the third platoon arrived on the scene to assist the K-9 unit. After VanHook was taken into custody, officers allegedly located a quantity of marijuana, crack cocaine and hashish in VanHook’s possession. Officers transported him to the city jail and while VanHook was in the jail, officers located a small quantity of crack cocaine in a concealed area of VanHook’s pants, police said. Officers then allegedly located anther small quantity of crack cocaine in the back of the patrol vehicle. He is being held pending arraignment.
Kenneth Peters, 47, of Frewsburg, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, failure to stop at a stop sign and leaving the scene of a property damage accident on Saturday at 2:35 a.m. Officers were patrolling Falconer Street and allegedly observed a green pick-up truck failing to keep right. While doing so, officers could observe that a bumper from a different vehicle was attached to the back of the pick-up truck. Officers attempted to stop the truck, but it did not initially, police said. Officers then observed the truck fail to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Falconer and James streets. Officers were able to get the truck stopped on Falconer Street near Hopkins Avenue. Officers spoke with Peters, who appeared to be intoxicated. He was run through a field sobriety test, which he failed, police said. Peters was then placed under arrest. It was found he was involved in a property damage accident in the Bullfrog parking lot and had left the scene, police said. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident and was being held pending arraignment.

LAKEWOOD- Timothy Cook, 26, of Jamestown was charged with criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Saturday at 8:09 p.m. While on patrol, a Lakewood-Busti Police officer noticed Cook walking behind the Lakewood Village Center. Cook was stopped and was found to have an active warrant through the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. While placing Cook under arrest, he was allegedly in possession of a quantity of OxyContin pills and syringes. He was charged and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail. Cook will return to Busti Court at a later date.

SILVER CREEK- Eric Salisbury, 47, of Amherst, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment on Saturday at 12:20 p.m. It is alleged that Salisbury ensued in an altercation with the victim that occurred in front of a child. He was released and is to appear in Silver Creek Court on a later date.
POMFRET- Jonathan Golden, 28, of Brocton, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, speeding, uninspected motor vehicle and refusal to submit to a breath test on Saturday at 2:15 a.m. Golden was stopped for allegedly speeding on Webster Road in Pomfret. Further investigation led to Golden being arrested for felony driving while intoxicated. He was additionally charged for possession a gravity knife. Golden was arraigned in Pomfret Court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.

SALAMANCA- Nicholas Stoll, 35, of Salamanca, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt on Thursday at 6:28 p.m. Stoll was arrested on a Salamanca City Court warrant for second-degree criminal contempt. Stoll was processed and turned over to Salamanca Police. He is to appear at a later date to answer the charge.
LITTLE VALLEY- Jacob Winshp, 23, of Little Valley, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant issued from Little Valley Court and was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after a traffic stop in Little Valley on Friday at 6 p.m. He was arraigned in Little Valley court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $800 bail. He is due back in court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA – Kyle C. Langer, 24, of Mayville was charged Thursday with second-degree assault and a probation warrant. At approximately 7:45 p.m., deputies located Langer at a residence on Route 430. Langer had an active probation warrant stemming from an assault charge. He was taken to county jail where he is being held without bail.
STOCKTON-Jennifer L. Brown, 37, of Mayville, was charged Tuesday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, speed in zone and unlicensed operation. At approximately 6:40 p.m., deputies stopped Brown for speeding on Route 380. It was determined that Brown’s license was revoked for a prior driving while intoxicated charge. Brown’s vehicle was towed. She will appear in Stockton Court at a later date.

David A. Bemis, 45, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with criminal mischief, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and third-degree assault. At approximately 2 p.m., officers responded to a disorderly subject call. Upon arrival, officers identified Bemis as the suspect in the incident. Bemis was detained in the parking lot as officers investigated an assault from within the drinking establishment. Bemis attempted to leave the scene several times during the investigation. He was advised by officers not to leave, at which time he started to walk away. He started to resist arrest when officers tried to take him into custody. It was determined that Bemis sustained an arm injury as well as broken glasses from the bar fight. He was transported to city jail and is pending arraignment. City officers were assisted by the New York State Police.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Luis A. Irizarry, 27, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana at the Lakewood Wal-Mart. It is alleged that Irizarry exited the store with $95.69 in merchandise for which he did not pay. While being processed, Irizarry was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
Jenell L. Long, 38, was charged Thursday with two counts of felony criminal possession of a forged instrument. Long was charged on an active warrant for the above charges stemming from an investigation of stolen checks. The investigation showed that Long went to the Lakewood Wal-Mart on March 10 and March 11 and used stolen checks to buy items at the store. He would then exchange the items for cash. Long was sent to county jail.

Four Jamestown minors, ranging from 17 to 18 years old, were charged Tuesday with four counts of petit larceny. At approximately 11:08 p.m., officers were dispatched to Tops Market on Foote Avenue where four shoplifters were in custody. Upon arrival, officers spoke with employees at the store who stated that they witnessed four minors take various items from the store and attempt to walk out without paying. The minors were confronted by a store manager and found to be in possession of multiple items. All four were transported to the city jail.
Robert Mosley, 53, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with speed not reasonable and prudent, moving from lane unsafely and driving while intoxicated. At approximately 12:35 a.m., officers were dispatched to Crescent Street near Kipp Street for a report of a personal injury motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Mosley who had a large welt and laceration on his head. Investigation revealed that Mosley rear-ended a legally parked unoccupied vehicle which was resting against a utility pole. Officers could also smell intoxicants on Mosley’s breath and observed watery blood-shot eyes, slurred speech and poor balance. Mosley was transported to WCA Hospital for his injuries. A blood sample determined his alcohol content. He was transported to city jail.

Sarah I. Mccrae, 34, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police were called to the J & C Auto Lot, located in Falconer, for a female breaking windows. Upon arrival, officers found Mccrae on the lot with lacerations to her hand. Investigation revealed that Mccrae had a switch blade knife. She will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Jennifer A. Seymour, 30, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with passing a red light, failure to keep right and driving while intoxicated. After a traffic stop on South Main Street, troopers detected a strong odor of alcohol from Seymour. After field sobriety tests, Seymour was placed under arrest and transported to state police in Jamestown for processing where a blood alcohol content of .09 was obtained. Seymour was issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket. All tickets are returnable to Jamestown Court. Seymour was released to a third party.

Donathan L. Alston, 42, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with open consumption and criminal impersonation. At approximately 8:37 a.m., an officer observed a male walking down the sidewalk near the area of East Second and Bowen streets with an open container of alcohol hidden in his coat. The male gave officers a false name, attempting to hide his true identity. He was transported to city jail without incident.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
A 16-year-old female was charged Tuesday with petit larceny. It is alleged that the female entered the Wal-Mart in Lakewood and selected several items of clothing valuing $143.30. She exited the store without paying for them. She was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

SALAMANCA – Kirby J. Ferguson, 38, of Salamanca was charged Friday on a Family Court warrant. Ferguson was arraigned in Coldspring Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $3,500 bail. He is due back in Family Court at a later date.
LEON – Robert A. Wyatt, 40, of Cherry Creek was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater and failure to keep right after being stopped on County Road 6 at approximately 12:02 a.m. He was processed and released on tickets. He is due back in Leon Court at a later date.
DAYTON – Franklin K. Nephew, 80, of Versailles was charged Saturday with felony driving while intoxicated with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, felony DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating without an interlock, speed not reasonable, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to maintain lane and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. At approximately 11:46 p.m., deputies responded to a call of a truck in a ditch along Route 62. A passerby provided deputies information that led to the finding of Nephew, who had left the scene. Investigation determined that Nephew was traveling too fast when he lost control of his vehicle. There were open beer cans inside the truck. His license was found to be revoked from a previous DWI conviction. He was arraigned where his bail was set at $500. He is due back in Dayton Court at a later date.
ELLICOTTVILLE – Cadince M. Lynn, 21 of Ellicottville was charged Sunday with failure to yield right of way while entering traffic, open container of alcohol in motor vehicle, refusing a breath test, driving while intoxicated, driving with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, unlawful possession of marijuana and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop. A pat down search found that Lynn was in possession of marijuana and cocaine. She was released on her tickets and will appear in Ellicottville Court on May 6 at 6 p.m.

GERRY – Joshua P. Mleczko, 19, of Dunkirk was charged Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Following a traffic stop on Route 60, troopers observed Mleczko’s vehicle driving down the shoulder of the road. A strong odor of marijuana emanated from the vehicle and Mleczko was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was issued a traffic ticket and will appear in Gerry Court at a later date.

Richard H. Rolfe, 21, of Jamestown, was charged Sunday with criminal obstruction of breathing. At approximately 8:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to 234 Fairmount Ave. for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female victim. Investigation determined that Rolfe placed his hands around the victim’s neck and applied pressure during the incident, police said. Rolfe was transported to city jail and is awaiting arraignment.
Joseph D. Williams, 47, Kyle N. Lewis, 22, and Travis Colley, 26, all of Jamestown, were charged Sunday with obstructing governmental administration. Lewis was also charged with resisting arrest. At approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were sent to 563 E. Second St. for a reported assault. As officers attempted to speak with the victim, the aforementioned subjects interfered with the investigation, police said. Lewis physically attempted to thwart officers from placing him under arrest.
James S. Hewitt, 52, of Jamestown, was charged Sunday with second-degree menacing. At approximately 4:55 p.m., officers responded to 27 Maple St. for a domestic dispute in which one party had a knife in his possession. Investigation revealed that Hewitt had a knife in his hand and verbally threatened to cut the victim up, police said. Hewitt was taken into custody without incident and transported to city jail.

POLAND-Martin N. Gomez III, 36, of Bradford, Pa., was charged Monday with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance and giving or selling alcohol to a person under age 21. Andrew F. Owens, 18, of Bradford, Pa., was charged Monday with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of alcohol under the age of 21. At approximately 7:15 a.m., New York State Police responded to a report of an erratic driver westbound on Interstate 86. The vehicle was pulled over and troopers noticed a strong odor of alcohol. Gomez was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated after field sobriety tests, police said. Further investigation with the assistance of K-9 Kubi led to drug charges for Gomez and passenger Owens. Both subjects were transported to State Police in Jamestown where a blood alcohol content of .13 was obtained for Gomez, police said. Both subjects were arraigned in Poland Court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail- Gomez in lieu of $1,000 bail and Owens in lieu of $500 bail.
