CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

William J. Torrence, 27, of Westons Mills was charged Monday with second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree criminal contempt. At approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies charged Torrence following an incident that occurred in Portville. No further details were released. He is due back in court at a later date.

FREWSBURG – Carl A. Johnson Sr., 62, of Frewsburg was charged Tuesday with second-degree unlawful surveillance and eavesdropping, and possessing eavesdropping devices. The charges stem from an investigation into a report that Johnson intentionally installed an imaging device to view a person without their consent. Johnson will appear in Carroll Court at a later date.

POMFRET – Michael A. Orazio, 43, of Falconer was charged Sunday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed, operating a motor vehicle by an unlicensed driver and failure to notify change of home address. State Police charged Orazio after a computer check showed his license was suspended and expired. Orazio was arraigned at Pomfret Court where he posted $250 cash bail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

ELLERY – Jamz Wallis, 24, of Amherst was charged Tuesday with speed not reasonable and prudent and operating out of class. At approximately 8:55 a.m., Wallis lost control of his 2013 Hino Box truck on Route 430 while merging onto the ramp for Interstate 86 west. He reportedly lost control because of unsafe speed and slippery road conditions. The truck struck a small sign, went over an embankment and rolled over onto its side. Wallis was uninjured. Bemus Point Fire Department shut down the ramp for a short period of time as the vehicle was removed. Wallis will appear in Ellery Court at a later date.

HANOVER – Douglas L. Ferry, 54, of Forestville, was charged Friday with DWI, DWI per se, failure to keep right and speed not reasonable. At approximately 9:25 p.m., deputies dispatched to the area of Bennett State Road and Stebbins Road for the report of a vehicle that had gone off the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies located a pickup truck that had rolled onto its passenger side with the operator still belted into the driver’s seat. Silver Creek and Hanover Fire departments responded to the scene and assisted the operator out of the vehicle. The driver -Ferry – sustained no injuries. Further investigation revealed that Ferry was intoxicated. Ferry will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.

TASK FORCE

Jessica C. Fulmer, 20, of Fredonia, was charged Monday on bench warrants from Fredonia Court as well as from two other jurisdictions in Erie County. At approximately 11:10 a.m., members of the Fredonia Police, Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the DEA Clandestine Lab Team executed a search warrant at 13 Washington Ave. The warrant was executed without incident and two residents were found. Agents were able to seize items of evidence that indicated the location was being used to produce methamphetamine. The items seized will be taken to the laboratory for analysis and charges pertaining to the search warrant will be brought after the evidence is analyzed. The search warrant is part of an ongoing investigation into the production and sale of methamphetamine in the northern Chautauqua County area. Fulmer is being held pending her arraignment on the warrant charges.

JAMESTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT

A 17-year-old female was charged Monday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. At approximately 6:17 p.m., officers dispatched to Hazzard Street for a larceny of a cellphone. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that the phone was reported stolen from Boces in Ashville earlier in the day. Through investigation, officers located a 17-year-old female at an apartment at 566 Allen St. Officers located the phone in her purse. The teenager was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

Juan A. Velazquez Rodriguez, 35, was charged Tuesday with obstructed view, third-degree aggravated unlicenced operator and fugitive from justice. At approximately 9:06 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that Rodriguez had an outstanding warrant out of Hillsborough County, Florida for violation of probation on arrests of burglary and cocaine possession.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Edward A. Christianson, 30, and Shawn M. Garrett, 32, both of Jamestown, were charged on Jan.4 with petit larceny. Officers charged the two individuals after being called to a town business for a reported shoplifting incident. Both men will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Matthew M. Walters of Randolph was charged Monday with petit larceny. At approximately 8:17 p.m., Walters was stopped by Wa-Mart security for attempting to leave the store with items that were not paid for. Walters will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Brennan R. Waite, of Randolph, was charged Monday with petit larceny. At approximately 8:17 p.m., Waite was stopped by Wal-Mart security for attempting to leave the store with items that were not paid for. Waite will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SALAMANCA – Shelly M. Rivas, 33, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, driving with .08 percent or higher blood alcohol content and moving from lane unsafely. At approximately 2:34 a.m., Rivas lost control of her vehicle and hit a guard rail at the intersection of Wildwood Avenue and Ellicott Street. Further investigation determined that she was intoxicated. She will appear in Salamanca City Court at a later date.

SALAMANCA – Oswald E. Brown, 20, of Salamanca was charged Thursday with second-degree criminal contempt, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. At approximately 5 p.m., deputies went to charge Brown for second-degree criminal contempt when he reportedly shut the door to prevent his arrest. Brown was later placed in custody without incident. Brown was sent to Cattaraugus County Jail on $1,000 bail.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

NORTH HARMONY – Mark S. Sonner, 22, of Ashville, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated. At approximately 3 a.m., state police responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Route 391. Upon arrival, troopers noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver and after field tests placed him under arrest for DWI and transported him to State Police Jamestown for processing. Sonner will appear in North Harmony Court at a later date.

POMFRET – Michael A. Orazio, 43 of Falconer, was charged Sunday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, operating a vehicle by an unlicensed driver and failure to notify change of home address. State Police charged Orazio on Route 60 after a computer check showed his license was suspended and expired. Orazio was arraigned at the Town of Pomfret Court where he posted $250 cash bail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Ruben Vargas, 33, of Jamestown, was charged Sunday with passing a red light, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, resisting arrest and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration. At approximately 2:51 a.m., officers observed a grey four-door sedan running a red light through the intersection of Buffalo and Falconer streets. After performing a traffic stop near the intersection of Buffalo Street and Hazel Avenue, officers determined that the Vargas was intoxicated and had a suspended driver’s license. As officers were informing Vargas of this, he reportedly became very combative, uncooperative and failed to comply with demands. He resisted arrest and attempted to prevent officers from placing him in the back of a patrol car police said. At the jail, Vargas consented to a chemical breath test which showed a blood alcohol content of .17 percent.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

FALCONER-Jason R. DeGolier, 33, of Kennedy, was charged Sunday with inadequate stop lamps, failure to signal and driving while intoxicated. At approximately 2:15 a.m., police observed a vehicle on Tiffany Avenue in Falconer with less than two working brake lamps. The vehicle also failed to signal a left turn. Upon performing a traffic stop, officers determined that DeGolier was intoxicated. He was arraigned in Ellicott Town Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000/$2,000 bail. He will appear in Ellicott Court on a later date.

FALCONER-David A. Spunaugle, 38, of Jamestown, was charged Saturday with inadequate tail lamps, failure to signal, driving while intoxicated Law, DWI per se with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, felony DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, use of motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device and unlicensed operator. At approximately 2:50 a.m., police observed a vehicle traveling on East Main Street with a broken tail lamp. It also failed to signal a left turn. Upon performing a traffic stop, officers determined that Spunaugle was intoxicated. A check of Spunaugle’s driver’s license revealed that he had a revoked driver’s license of a prior DWI conviction in the last 10 years, making this a felony, police said. Part of Spunaugle’s restrictions included the use of an ignition interlock device, which he did not have, police said. He was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail with no bail.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Three unidentified females, all teenagers, were charged Jan. 19 with petit larceny. At approximately 4:13 p.m., police responded to Wal-Mart for a shoplifting report. The three females were observed by loss prevention personnel removing items and placing them inside their large purses. All three will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Rebecca A. Smouse, 26, and Michelle R. Mosier, 25, both of Falconer, were charged Jan. 19 with petit larceny. At approximately 6:62 p.m., police responded to Wal-Mart for a shoplifting report. The two females were observed by loss prevention personnel removing items and placing them inside a large purse. Both females will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

John Evan IV, 35, of Jamestown, was charged Saturday with failure to stop at stop sign, driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana. At approximately 3 a.m., Evan was charged for DWI after his vehicle went off the road on Cowing Road and a subsequent investigation found him to be intoxicated, police said. He was also found in possession of marijuana. Evan will return to Busti Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Kyle S. Fiore, 26, of Jamestown, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated and no or inadequate headlights on Sunday at 2:20 a.m. Police stopped Fiore at West Third and Washington streets for driving with no headlights, and upon further investigation, it was found Fiore was intoxicated, police said. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he was given a chemical test which showed a blood alcohol content which was more than double the legal limit, police said. Fiore was issued traffic tickets and released to a third party. He is scheduled to appear before Jamestown City Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

WESTFIELD – Terri A. Himelein, 48, of 7617 Felton Road, Westfield, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and moving from lane unsafely Friday. Himelein was traveling on Prospect Road in the town of Westfield when she allegedly lost control of her vehicle at 3:36 p.m. The vehicle did a 180-degree turn and went into a ditch, coming to rest on its side, police said. After an investigation by deputies on scene with assistance from the Westfield Police Department, it was determined that Himelein was operating her vehicle in an intoxicated state, police said. She was issued appearance tickets for Town of Westfield Court at a later date.

HARMONY – Lawrence T. Linkous III, 30, of Panama, was charged with speeding and failure to keep right following a three-vehicle crash in Harmony on Friday. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene on Route 474 at 8:56 p.m. and an investigation determined that Linkous was traveling eastbound in his 1996 Chevrolet Lumina when he lost control and crossed into the westbound lane, police said. Linkous’ vehicle struck a 2007 Dodge Caliber being operated by a Clymer woman, and then continued traveling until it collided with a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup being operated by a Panama man. The Clymer woman was taken to WCA Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Linkous was evaluated at the scene and declined treatment, and the Panama man was uninjured. Linkous was issued tickets for Harmony Court at a later date. The Panama and Ashville fire departments assisted at the scene.

SILVER CREEK – Bradley M. Dimmer, 22, of Silver Creek, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Saturday. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a noise complaint on Howard Street in the village at 1:35 a.m. and upon arrival smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Dimmer was in possession of a small quantity of the drug, police said. He was issued a ticket Silver Creek Court at a later date.

POLAND – Rachael L. Anderson, 21, of 110 Charles St., Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment Friday. Sheriff’s deputies learned that at 11:30 p.m. on Route 62 in Poland, Anderson allegedly damaged a vehicle and harassed two subjects during an argument. She was issued appearance tickets for Poland Court at a later date.

WESTFIELD – Chaz T. Clutter, 22, of Westfield, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, false personation, failure to maintain lane and failure to signal turn, while Zachary P. Kemp, 22, of Brocton, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Saturday. Deputies observed a vehicle driving erratically and committing multiple traffic infractions on Main Street at 2:44 a.m. Deputies, assisted by Westfield police, stopped the vehicle, and further investigation revealed that Clutter, who was operating the vehicle, had his driving privileges suspended. Initially Clutter provided deputies with false information and it was later discovered that Clutter was a fugitive from justice in Erie County, Pa., police said. A search found that Kemp, a passenger in the vehicle, was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. Clutter was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $8,000 cash/$16,000 property and will later be extradited to answer charges in Pennsylvania.

BROCTON- Fredrick S. Brown, 27, of Portland, was charged with petit larceny on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Deputies responded to a residence on Smith Street in Brocton where a resident alleged that an altercation had occurred between the subject and Brown. Brown allegedly had also stolen a quantity of prescription pills from the residence. Brown was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Brocton Court at a later date.

SILVER CREEK- Jessie S. Nahrebeski, 19, Ian T. Ward, 21, and Adam N. Mox, 19, all of Silver Creek, were charged with petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property on Thursday at 2 p.m. A woman reported a black fire combo safe missing from her residence, and through investigation it was allegedly found the three had removed the safe from her residence and had taken it to a local pawn shop. They were issued appearance tickets and will appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date to answer the charges.

FRANKLINVILLE – Dorothy A. Vinovrski, 57, of Franklinville, was charged with third-degree grand larceny Friday. Allegedly Vinovrski stole $4,400 out of the VFW Auxiliary Account for personal use.

SHEFFIELD- Stephen A. Musatne, 36, of Warren, Pa., allegedly contacted a victim in a threatening and terrorizing manner on Wednesday. Musatne was arraigned, and bail was set at $30,000. Musatne was committed to the Warren County Jail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

STOCKTON-A 28-year-old woman from Fredonia was involved in a vehicle accident Friday. At approximately 7:07 a.m., deputies along with the Cassadaga and Stockton fire departments and Alstar responded to an accident on Fredonia-Stockton Road. The victim was reportedly traveling southbound when she lost control of her vehicle, went into a ditch and rolled the vehicle onto its roof. She was transported to Brooks Hospital by ambulance for not life-threatening injuries. A child passenger was also transported to the hospital.

HANOVER-William Kaiser, 66, of Brocton, was charged Thursday with failure to yield right of way when entering/crossing. At approximately 1:24 p.m., deputies and Hanover Center and Silver Creek fire departments responded to Angell Road for a car accident. It is alleged that Kaiser failed to yield the right of way while pulling out of a driveway and struck a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Angell Road. A female passenger in the vehicle that was struck was transported by ambulance to Lake Shore Hospital for not life-threatening injuries. Kaiser was transported by a private vehicle to Brooks Hospital.

BROCTON-Michael Manganiello, 28, of Brocton, was charged Friday with speed not reasonable. At approximately 8 a.m., a Brocton Central School bus was traveling eastbound on Route 20 and had stopped with its red lights on. A second vehicle stopped behind the bus. Manganiello, who was driving behind the second vehicle, was reportedly distracted and did not realize the vehicles in front had stopped. He was unable to stop in time due to road conditions. His vehicle sideswiped the right side of the second vehicle and rear-ended the bus. There were two students on board the bus, but no one was injured. Manganiello will appear in court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Willie Grace, 66, was charged Thursday with second-degree menacing. At approximately 4:47 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Barker Street and Broadhead Avenue for a possible fight involving weapons. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male victim at a nearby residence, who said he was chased down the street with a hammer. Further investigation revealed that Grace had made threats and chased the victim for a few minutes. Grace was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Roberta J. Shawley, 41, of Allegany, was charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny. The charges resulted from a complaint that the suspect burglarized a home on Harriet Street and stole several firearms. Shawley will appear in court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

John C. Tufino, 21, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and obstructing governmental administration. At approximately 2:25 a.m., police responded to 16 W. 15th St. for an alleged domestic incident involving Tufino and a 19-year-old victim. Further investigation determined that Tufino allegedly punched, kneed and choked the female victim during the incident. He also obstructed the official duties of the officers while being transported to the Jamestown City Jail, police said. Tufino is currently pending arraignment.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jacklyn M. Long, 25, of Jamestown was charged on Jan. 15 with petit larceny. Long allegedly took merchandise from Wal-Mart and left the property without paying for it. She reported ran from employees and the police the night of the incident. She was later found and charged.

Todd M. Boardman, 26, of Ashville was charged in December for four counts of petit larceny. While employed at Wal-Mart, Boardman allegedly took merchandise from the store and left the property without paying for it. A warrant was applied for and Boardman was charged. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $5,000 bail.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

EAST OTTO-Christopher M. Jaehn, 47, of East Concord was charged Saturday with drinking while intoxicated, possession of an open alcohol container, failure to keep right and moving from lane unsafely. At approximately 4:46 p.m., Jaehn was charged after crashing his 2008 Ford Econoline van into a ditch and overturning it on East Otto-Springville Road. Jaehn was transported to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital for head injuries. Jeffrey Bieler, 46, of Springville was flighted to Erie County Medical Center for head and back injuries. Jaehn was released with traffic tickets and is due back in East Otto Court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

DUNKIRK-Stella M. Karin, 42, was charged Thursday with DWI and speed not reasonable and prudent. At approximately 8:45 a.m., troopers were called to a complaint of a one-car property damage accident on West Lake Road. Upon arrival, it was determined that the operator – Karin – was intoxicated, police said. Karin was released on her own recognizance and is to return to Dunkirk Court.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Joseph L. Estus, of Jamestown, was charged Wednesday with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance outside original container and failure to keep right. At approximately 5:59 a.m., Estus was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Route 474. Estus was found in possession of approximately 30 grams of marijuana and a single pill of a controlled substance.

Shawn M. Garrett, 32, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with three counts of petit larceny. At approximately 2:30 a.m., Lakewood-Busti Police Department with the assistance of the Jamestown Police Department took Garrett into custody following multiple outstanding warrants for larcenies from Wal-Mart on three separate dates. Garrett was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

STATE POLICE

Nicholas S. Evans, 20, of Jamestown was charged Friday with fourth-degree stalking. According to police, Evans continually called his ex-girlfriend while she was being interviewed by the police and kept calling despite warnings from state troopers. He was located in Ellicottville and turned over to the Jamestown Police Department. He was arraigned in Elliott Court where an order of protection was issued. Evans reportedly contacted the victim again, leaving a voicemail message. He also spoke with her on Facebook and had a friend contact her and set up communication between them. Troopers took Evans into custody, and had him remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

Brandon Shutt, 27, of Sinclairville and Joshua Richter, 20, of Cassadaga, were charged on Jan.16 with unlawful possession of marijuana. Richter was found in possession of a bottle of liquor and charged with unlawful possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21. According to police, a check of an occupied vehicle parked behind the Sinclairville Library at 11 p.m. resulted in both men being taken into custody. Troopers allegedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana upon approaching the vehicle. Both men were found in possession of marijuana and issued appearance tickets to Charlotte Court?for Tuesday.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

GERRY-Riley Sheldon, 21, of Jamestown, was charged Tuesday with following too close. At approximately 8:42 a.m., Sheldon was reportedly traveling southbound on Route 60 and ran into the rear of another vehicle that was stopped in traffic. Sheldon’s vehicle allegedly pushed the second vehicle into a third vehicle. Route 60 was closed for a short time while the accident scene was cleaned up. All three operators were uninjured.

DEPEW-Michael D. Eberle, 30, of Depew, was charged Friday with petit larceny, fraudulent receipt of benefits (MISD) and misuse of food stamps. At approximately 10:25 a.m., Eberle was taken into custody for allegedly failing to report income/employment benefits to the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services. This unreported income allowed Eberle to receive $1,019.15 in unentitled benefits from Nov. 16, 2011 to Jan. 21, 2012. Eberle is scheduled to appear in Jamestown Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Nathan A. Caylor, 23, was charged Tuesday with second-degree criminal contempt, violation of probation warrant, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. At approximately 5:16 p.m., officers responded to 10 Lake St. on a tip that Caylor was there in violation of a probation warrant that ordered him to stay away from that residence. Upon arrival, officers observed Caylor running out the back door, leading to a long foot pursuit that ended on Baker and Williams streets. Caylor was transported to the city jail.

ELLICOTT POLICE

DEPARTMENT

Nichol L. Keller, 37, of Jamestown, was charged Monday with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child. At approximately 5:50 p.m., police were dispatched to K-Mart for a shoplifter that was being held by loss prevention officers. Police determined that Keller allegedly stole $35 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it. Keller also had her 10-year-old son with her while stealing the merchandise. She will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

ASHFORD-Elaine M. Monnin, 33, of West Valley, was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass and fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 7:37 p.m., deputies responded to a report from a homeowner that someone had broken into the home through a window and had brought numerous possessions inside including a large dog. There was also damage to two doors and a large mess inside. Deputies were able to identify Monnin by using numerous papers and pay stubs that were found inside. CARROLLTON-Paul D. Rader, 42, of Limestone, was charged Saturday with criminal obstruction of breathing, third-degree assault, third degree criminal mischief and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. At approximately 7:30 p.m., deputies took Rader into custody following an incident in Carrollton. No further details were released. He was remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail and will appear in court at a later date.

OLEAN-Katherine A. Hayes, 27, of Olean, was charged Sunday with violation of probation warrant. At approximately 9:28 a.m., deputies took Hayes into custody on a violation of a probation warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Supreme Court. She was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail to await arraignment.

OLEAN-Nicholas S. Cossairt, 25, of Olean, was charged Sunday with violation of probation. At approximately 1:38 p.m., deputies took Cossairt into custody on a violation of a probation warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Supreme Court. He was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail to await arraignment.

POMFRET-Michael P. Austin, 33, of Cassadaga, was charged Monday at approximately 4:30 p.m. after deputies conducted a warrant check for him. Austin was on the top 10 wanted list for the Sheriff’s Office. Austin was located in a trailer in Ulrich Park and was taken into custody without incident. He was committed to Chautauqua County Jail and will appear in court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Keith D. Felder, 22, of Jamestown, was charged Monday with speed in zone, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se. At approximately 12:26 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a four-door sedan that was traveling at a high rate of speed over the Third Street bridge. Upon stopping the vehicle near the intersection of Washington Street and West Second Street, officers determined that the driver-Felder-was intoxicated after smelling the odor of alcohol and performing a series of field sobriety tests-which Felder failed. Felder submitted a chemical test at the Jamestown City Jail that revealed his blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit, police said.

Lisa D. Dale, 43, of Dunkirk, was charged Monday with driving while ability impaired with drugs and speeding. At approximately 12:10 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle on Hunt Road traveling at a high rate of speed. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver-Dale-was under the influence of drugs. Dale will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Jennifer W. Fain, 28, of Jamestown, was charged Friday with petit larceny. Fain was taken into custody after she was observed taking items from Wal-Mart without paying for them, police said. She was detained by Loss Prevention and turned over to police.

BUSTI – Nicole McCormick, 22, of Irvine, Pa., was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance outside original container and speeding in a zone Sunday at 1:05 a.m. Lakewood-Busti Police officers allegedly observed McCormick speeding down Forest Avenue, Extension. She was found to be in possession of Hyrocodone Pills, marijuana and not having pills within their original container, police said. McCormick will appear in Busti Court at a later date to answer said charges.

LAKEWOOD – Blake Truver, 21, of Lakewood was charged with the following felonies: criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument Friday at 5 p.m. The Lakewood-Busti Police Department has been investigating numerous car larcenies in and around the center of the village. Upon further investigation Truver allegedly was found to be in possession of a stolen credit card that was taken from one of the car larcenies. Truver was also identified as the person that also used the stolen credit card twice in Lakewood, police said. Other charges are still pending and the investigation involving the other car larcenies is still on going.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

ELLERY – Kevin Maytum, 44, of Dewittville, was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher Saturday at 2:15 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to The Springs on Route 430 in Ellery for a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot. Upon arrival, deputies allegedly located Maytum in the back of the parking lot. Upon investigation, it was determined he was intoxicated, police said. Maytum was issued tickets to appear in Ellery Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA – Ryan Somers, 34, of Mayville was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater, insufficient headlamps and uninspected vehicle Wednesday at 8:29 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Somers on Route 394 in Chautauqua for having a headlight out. Following an investigation, he was arrested for driving while intoxicated, police said. Somers will answer the charges in Chautauqua Court at a later date.

RIPLEY – Travis Garske, 43, of Ripley was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and speed in zone Saturday at 9:32 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies allegedly observed Garske speeding on Route 20 in Ripley. Further investigation found him to be intoxicated, and due to being previously convicted of driving while intoxicated within 10 years, the arrest was a felony, police said. He was issued citations and released to appear Ripley Court at a later date.

DRUG TASK FORCE

POMFRET – Laura Lewetzski, 26, of Fredonia, Sara Tolbert, 35, of Fredonia and Melanie Green, 37, of Silver Creek were charged with criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine and endangering the welfare of a child Saturday at 11:45 a.m. The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the town of Pomfret constable served a search warrant at 9587 Route 60 in Pomfret. Allegedly at this time, the three defendants were found to be inside the residence, along with two minor children younger than the age of 5. The task force located a quantity of precursors and other items that are used in the production of methamphetamine, police said. Agents also seized items of evidence that will be sent for analysis. As a result of the analysis, additional charges will be brought against the defendants. The Chautauqua County Hazmat Team and the Fredonia Fire Department also responded to the scene and assisted with the recovery and removal of toxic items of evidence from the residence. The defendants were arraigned in Pomfret Court and then remanded to Chautauqua County Jail with bail sit at $10,000 cash or $20,000 property bond. As a result of the information gathered from this incident, the investigation will be on going.

VILLENOVA – Franklin Blum, 49, of Silver Creek was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign and driving while intoxicated Wednesday at 6:40 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident involving two motor vehicles on South Mills Road in Villenova. After further investigation, Blum was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was processed in Hanover and will appear in Villenova Court at a later date.

POMFRET – Victor Candelaria, 33, of Rochester was charged with second-degree criminal contempt on Saturday at 4:08 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a reported altercation at a residence on Route 5 in Pomfret. While investigating the incident, allegedly deputies discovered Candelaria was at the residence with a female that had an active court order of protection direction that he stay away from her. Candelaria was arrested and arraigned in Pomfret Court. He was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

WESTFIELD – Matthew Jaynes, 32, of Westfield was charged with failure to dim high beams, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Wednesday at 8:24 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies allegedly observed Jaynes operating his vehicle with its high beams on as traffic was approaching from the opposite direction on North Portage Street in Westfield. He was stopped and through an investigation, deputies alleged Jaynes was in possession of several controlled substances. He will appear in Westfield Court at a later date and time.

PORTVILLE – Phillip Gene Donovan, 42, of Portville, was charged with two counts of third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation Friday at 8 a.m. Deputies arrested Donovan following an alleged domestic dispute at a residence at 1567 Haskell Road in Portville. He was arraigned and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,500. Donovan will appear in Portville Court a later date.

EAST OTTO – Dawn Brock, 24, of Cattaraugus, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher and failure to maintain lane. Brock allegedly failed to maintain her lane after being involved in a single-car motor vehicle accident which left her vehicle partially submerged in water. She was processed in Little Valley and released on uniform traffic tickets. Brock is scheduled to appear in East Otto Court at a later date.

ELLICOTTVILLE – Kevin Kline, 34, of Parma, Ohio, was charged was charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlawful operation of a motor vehicle, refusal of a pre-screen test and no tail lights Saturday at 2:31 a.m. Kline was allegedly arrested and taken to Ellicottville Police Department for processing following a traffic stop in Ellicottville. He was arraigned in Ellicottville Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $2,000 to re-appear at a later date.

LAKEWOOD – Lori A. Everson, 44, of Jamestown was charged with three counts of issuing a bad check during the month of November that were returned to the business owner, at 409 E. Fairmount Ave., for insufficient funds. A warrant was applied and she was issued an appearance ticket.

LAKEWOOD – A 16-year-old female from Jamestown was charged Friday with petit larceny. According to Lakewood-Busti Police, the suspected allegedly removed $30.91 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart without paying. An appearance ticket for the Town of Busti Court was issued.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Steven D. Schrecengost, 19, of 81 E. Duquesne St., Celoron, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of first-degree criminal contempt. On Nov. 5, the Ellicott Police Department responded to a burglary of a residence in the village of Celoron. According to the homeowner, two electronic items had been stolen from the home. Police were able to conduct several interviews and were able to locate one of the stolen items from the home of Steven Schrecengost. Police also found that he had made contact with two individuals in attempts to sell them the stolen property, which the two currently had valid orders of protection against him. Ellicott Police did obtain an arrest warrant for Schrecengost and he was later apprehended on Jan. 4 on other related charges. He was brought to Ellicott Court on Jan. 14, arraigned on the above charges and returned back to the Chautauqua County Jail.

Ashley L. Degangi, 22, of Cassadaga was charged Wednesday with petit larceny. At approximately 8:30 p.m., Degangi was taken into custody after allegedly stealing $79.33 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart in Lakewood. She will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Jonathan R. Carlson, 24, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with petit larceny. At approximately 8:30 p.m., Carlson was taken into custody for allegedly stealing $122.82 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart in Lakewood. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Kaitlyn E. Rose, 22, of Sinclairville, and an unidentified 17-year-old female were charged Wednesday with petit larceny. At approximately 10:25 p.m., police responded to the Wal-Mart in Lakewood for a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, officers took Rose and the 17-year-old female into custody after they allegedly stole merchandise from the store. They will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Bless M. Grant, 21, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to Linwood Avenue for a report of criminal mischief. Further investigation revealed that Grant broke the victim’s residence door window and then fled the scene. Officers located Grant and took him into custody without incident. He is currently awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.

George W. Edington III, 25, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with third-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 3:16 a.m., officers were dispatched to 30 Lakeview Ave. for a report of a male who just smashed the windshield and back window of a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers followed footprints in the snow from the damaged vehicle to the corner of East Eighth Street and Grant Street, where they located Edington. The owner of the damaged vehicle positively identified Edington as the subject who damaged his vehicle. Edington was taken into custody and awaits arraignment at the city jail.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

ALLEGANY – John H. Hudson, 29, of Salamanca was charged Tuesday with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, broken windshield, driving without headlights 30 minutes after sunset, drinking while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and driving a vehicle without an interlock device. At approximately 2 a.m., deputies responded to Buffalo Road to investigate a pickup truck that was driving without its lights on. Deputies discovered Hudson was driving the vehicle, which had substantial front end and windshield damage. Further investigation revealed that there was a road sign that had been knocked over and a tree damaged on Smith Hollow. Hudson was arraigned in Hinsdale Town Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail on $5,000 bail. He will appear at Allegany Court at a later date.

DAYTON – Charles M. Evans, 54, of Cattaraugus was charged Saturday with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing. At approximately 4:30 p.m., Evans was taken into custody following an incident which occurred the previous evening. He was remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. No further details were made available.

YORKSHIRE – Derek A. Stock, 32, of Yorkshire was charged Jan. 9 of second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. At approximately 1:19 p.m., Stock was taken into custody following a domestic dispute. No further details were made available.

Antonieo D. Thomas, 26, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with being a fugitive from justice and violation of probation. Troopers had a warrant from the Pennsylvania State Police in Warren, Pa., for larceny of merchandise that occurred in September 2013 at the Wal-Mart in Warren. Thomas will appear in Kiantone Court at a later date. He is currently in Chautauqua County Jail.

Alijhiah G. Minor, 18, of Naples was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers performed a traffic stop on Minor’s vehicle for speeding on Interstate 86 in Ellicott. Upon investigation, it was determined that Minor was in possession of marijuana. He will appear in Ellicott Court on Jan. 22.

Joel A. Peterson, 26, of Jamestown, was charged Saturday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers determined that Peterson was in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on Route 430 in Ellery. Peterson will appear in Ellery Court at a later date.

Riley S. Gustafson, 20, of Frewsburg, was charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana and loud exhaust. Troopers determined that Gustafson was in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on Route 60 in Gerry. Gustafson will appear in Gerry Court at a later date.

Kasey M. Erhard, 21, of Sherman was charged Sunday with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of fireworks. Troopers determined that Erhard was in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop due to a loud exhaust. Erhard was also in possession of a shotgun with defaced serial numbers and fireworks. He will appear in North Harmony Court on a later date.

SILVER CREEK-Danielle P. Pawlak, 19, was charged Sunday with having less than two stop lamps and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. At approximately 9:45 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Pawlak for having less than two stop lamps. Further investigation determined that Pawlak’s driving privileges were suspended in New York state. She will appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date.

Cody J. Cook, 21, of Irving is being removed from the Chautauqua County Wanted List as of Monday. Cook was wanted by the Sheriff’s Office for several misdemeanor complaints. He was charged by Buffalo officers and placed in Erie County holding. His outstanding warrant will be cancelled.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Rodney L. Hough, 45, of Dunkirk was charged Sunday with fourth-degree grand larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. At approximately 1:50 a.m., officers were flagged down outside of Shawbuck’s bar in regards to a stolen cellphone. Officers determined that the victim’s cellphone was taken from the bar and Hough demanded $40 from the victim to return the phone. Hough was paid the money at Mojo’s and returned the phone. Officers located Hough a short time later and he was transported to city jail and held pending arraignment.

Suzannah-Marie Jimerson, 18, of Jamestown was charged Monday with second-degree menacing. At approximately 12:36 a.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute involving a knife. Upon arrival, officers located the victim who stated his cousin threatened him with a two-prong kitchen utensil. Officers located Jimerson who admitted she had threatened her cousin with the utensil during an argument. She was transported to city jail where she is pending arraignment.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Carrie M. Soto, 35, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with petit larceny. At approximately 2:30 p.m., police responded to the K-Mart store on Fairmount Avenue. It was determined that loss prevention had detained Soto, who reportedly took $41 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it. Soto will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Roman M. Gedz, 50, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with two counts of third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree stalking and aggravated family offense. Ellicott Police, assisted by Lakewood-Busti Police, responded to a call of an assault victim that was followed by the suspect to the Tim Horton’s on Fairmount Avenue. During the investigation, it was determined that Gedz had assaulted his sister and mother at the mother’s West Ellicott home. He also held his sister against her will and followed both her and his mother when they left the house. With the assistance of the New York State Police and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Gedz was located and taken into custody. He was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

SOUTHERN TIER REGIONAL DRUG TASK FORCE

DUNKIRK-Edwin C. Wilson, 36, of Dunkirk was charged Saturday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. An outstanding warrant had been issued earlier by the Dunkirk Court, based on information that alleged that Wilson sold crack cocaine to agents of the task force.Wilson was apprehended in Dunkirk and taken to city jail without incident. The arrest culminates a monthslong investigation. Additional information has been obtained as a result of this arrest and authorities anticipate that there will be more arrests as the result of that continued investigation.

SILVER CREEK- Diana M.G. Breaux, 32, of Silver Creek, was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and fourth-degree criminal mischief on Friday at 11 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a Silver Creek residence for a possible burglary. Breaux voluntarily turned herself in when she unlawfully entered a residence after having prior knowledge of abandoned animals inside the dwelling, police said. She was released and is to appear in court at a later date.

SILVER CREEK- Mary Voss, 37, of Dunkirk, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating without an interlock device and uninspected motor vehicle on Sunday at 10 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Voss for allegedly having an expired New York state inspection sticker. Upon checking Voss’ driving privileges, she was allegedly found to be driving on a revoked New York state driver’s license. She was also found to be violating her restrictions by operating a motor vehicle without a interlock device installed. She will appear in court at later date.

CHAUTAUQUA- Ronald Reichardt, 51, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more, failure to maintain lane and loud exhaust on Sunday at 1:55 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Reichardt on West Lake Road in Mayville after allegedly observing a lane violation and noting the vehicle had an excessively loud exhaust. Following an investigation, Reichardt was charged with driving while intoxicated and will be in Chautauqua Court at a later date.

MINA- Cassandra Hoitink, 31, of Clymer, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more and operating with a handheld electronic device on Friday at 8:45 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Mann Road and West Mina Road for a report of a vehicle in a ditch. Deputies located the operator, who had left the scene, at a nearby residence. Following an investigation, Hoitink allegedly drove her vehicle in the ditch while using Facebook on a handheld phone device. She will be arraigned on the charges in Mina Court a later date.

HANOVER- Three youths, a female and male, both 17, and a male, 16, were charged with curfew violation on Saturday at 1:10 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Sunset Bay to check on a group of suspicious subjects. While checking the area, deputies allegedly observed the group loitering on Parkway Avenue in Sunset Bay. They were in violation of curfew and issued appearance tickets. They are scheduled to appear in Hanover Court a later date.

STOCKTON- Robert Hubler, 30, of Stockton, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane on Saturday at 12:31 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Hubler on Maple Avenue in Stockton for an alleged observed traffic infraction. Hubler was allegedly found to be intoxicated after an investigation, and had been previously convicted of driving while intoxicated within the last 10 years, making the arrest a felony, police said. He was arraigned on the charges and later remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

RANDOLPH- Michael Cook, 40, of Randolph, was charged at his residence on a warrant issued from Cattaraugus Family Court. He was taken to Randolph Court for arraignment and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

SALAMANCA- Kaiya Jo Arney-Lazore, 18, of Salamanca, was charged on a warrant issued from Salamanca Court with third-degree assault, stemming from an incident that occurred at Salamanca School at an earlier date. She was processed and released and is due back in Salamanca Court at a later date.

LITTLE VALLEY- Crystal Lore, 20, was charged with the following felonies: third-degree arson, third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief on Friday. On July 23, 2013, the Cattaraugus County Fire Investigation team responded to a residential garage fire located at 102 Second St., Little Valley. After an investigation was conducted by the fire investigation team and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, it was determined the fire was arson. Lore was charged and sent to Cattaraugus County Jail on $15,000 bail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Felix Lozada, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree assault on Saturday at 2:25 a.m. Jamestown Police responded to the area of West Seventh and Cherry streets for a report of a male dragging a female down the street. Upon arrival officers located the female who allegedly stated her boyfriend Lozada had assaulted her. He was located a short distance away and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident where he was being held pending arraignment.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

BUSTI- Heidi Rock, 50, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny on Saturday at 7:40 p.m. Rock allegedly stole merchandise belonging to Wal-Mart valuing $49.67. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Busti Court at a later date.

SHERIDAN – John-David Gozdzlak, 48, was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se having a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and speed over 55 miles per hour. At approximately 8:56 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 20 for allegedly speeding. Upon investigation, it was determined that the operator – Gozdzlak – was intoxicated. He will appear in Sheridan Court at a later date.

Dillon J. Ward, 21, of Westfield is being removed from the Chautauqua County Wanted List. Ward was wanted by the sheriff’s office for violation of probation. He has been taken into custody and his warrant has been cancelled.

OLEAN – Pierre N. Morgan, 29, of Buffalo, Carmen C. Burney, 27, of Olean, Justun A. Vance, 28, of Buffalo and Kellee L. Lewis, of Olean were charged Thursday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to the task force, the charges were filed by the task force and the Olean City Police Street Unit after the execution of a search warrant at 502 Third Ave., Apt. 3. All four defendants were in possession of crack cocaine. They were held in Olean where they were awaiting arraignment in Olean Court. Investigators were assisted by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office road patrol division and the Olean Police Department’s road patrol division. More charges are pending the completion of the investigation.

OLEAN – Eric J. Pitts, 27, of Olean was charged Wednesday on a bench warrant. At approximately 9:18 a.m., deputies took Pitts into custody on a bench warrant issued out of the Cattaraugus County Supreme Court. He was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail where he is pending arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

FRENCH CREEK – Zackary Pfeffer, 21, of Girard, Pa., was charged Sunday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and theft of services. Nathan Erie, 21, of Fairview, Pa., was charged Sunday with theft of services. At approximately 5:15 p.m., security staff observed a male snowboarder jump onto a wooden fence, causing the fence to break. Security staff determined that Pfeffer and Erie had not purchased a lift pass. Both were issued appearance tickets and will appear in French Creek Court on a later date.

SHERIDAN – Zuleika Belardo-Sanchez, 23, of Lancaster, Pa., was involved in a motor vehicle accident Tuesday. Sanchez was traveling East on Route 5 in Sheridan when she struck a guard rail on the north side of Route 5. Sanchez was not injured. Her vehicle was severely damaged.

SILVER CREEK – Natalie N. Payne, 27, of Silver Creek was involved in a motor vehicle accident Wednesday. At approximately 12:30 p.m., deputies responded to a vehicle accident just outside of Silver Creek. It was determined that Payne was traveling on Route 20 when she failed to negotiate a turn. She reportedly struck a snow embankment, causing her vehicle to overturn and land in the driveway of a residence. Payne was transported by Silver Creek EMS to Lake Shore Hospital for neck pains. No charges at this time.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Edward M. Hough, 47, of Buffalo was charged Monday with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree strangulation. At approximately 4:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Washington Street for a disorderly person. Upon arrival, an officer observed a male chasing a female through the residence. The officer made entry and took the defendant – Hough – into custody. Officers learned that Hough unlawfully entered the residence and assaulted a male victim with several household objects. During the assault, several of the male victim’s items were destroyed. Additionally, Hough assaulted and strangled a female victim to the point where she lost consciousness. Hough was transported to the city jail and is awaiting arraignment.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Ryan C. Whitney, 24, of Allegany was charged Friday with parole violation. At approximately 7:30 p.m., Whitney turned himself into a patrol on a New York state parole violation warrant. He is being held at the Cattaraugus County Jail and is pending parole violation proceedings.

Jacob J. Ray, 20, of Machias was charged Jan.1 with second-degree harassment, fourth-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal contempt. At approximately 9:47 a.m., Ray was taken into custody after a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. Ray was taken to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $500 bail, $1,000 bond.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SHERIDAN-Chad D. Jaquith, 33, of Stockton was charged Sunday with parking on pavement, driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. At approximately 12:55 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Center Road at Route 39 to check on the well-being of a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway at the stop sign with the operator slumped at the wheel. Upon arrival, deputies determined that the operator was sleeping, had his foot on the brake and the vehicle was running and in drive. Deputies placed the vehicle in park and woke up the operator-Jaquith-who was deemed intoxicated. He was taken into custody and was released with traffic tickets to appear in Sheridan Court on a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Elisabeth A. Wilson, 21, of Frewsburg was charged Friday with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failing to keep right, unlicensed operation, third-degree felony failure to appear for aggravated unlicensed operation and third-degree misdemeanor failure to appear for possession of a forged instrument. Police responded to a call of a property damage accident in Falconer. Upon arrival, deputies determined that one of the vehicles had left the scene of the incident. Further investigation and assistance from the Carroll Police Department led to the arrest of Wilson. She was arraigned in Jamestown and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

Kenneth Walker, 29, of Falconer was charged Wednesday with failure to dim headlights and driving while intoxicated. At approximately 2:30 a.m., police observed a vehicle with its high beams on. Officers conducted a traffic stop and determined that the driver-Walker-was intoxicated. He will appear in Ellicott Court on a later date.

Daniel R. Gleason of Portville was charged Friday with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child. Police responded to a shoplifting incident in progress at a local business. Upon investigation, officers determined that Gleason committed the crime while in the care of his 11-month-old son.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Rashid A. Jabbar, 29, was charged Sunday with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, tampering with physical evidence, unlawful possession of marijuana and three counts of second-degree assault. At approximately 8:18 p.m., officers conducted a patdown of Jabbar. Jabbar proceeded to pull away from officers and lead them on a foot pursuit. Once caught, Jabbar refused to place his hands behind his back and comply with officer orders. He also attempted to hide marijuana. Jabbar also resisted officers and fought with them when being placed under arrest.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Terrance Hubbard, 27, of Jamestown was charged with false personation Tuesday at 2:16 p.m. Jamestown Police stopped a vehicle on East Second Street near Thayer Street for having an uninspected motor vehicle. While speaking to the occupants in the vehicle, officers made contact with Hubbard, who allegedly gave officers a false name. Hubbard allegedly knew he possessed a valid arrest warrant out of Chautauqua County in which he tried to lie to officers about his real name. He was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail were he was pending arraignment.

Mario Adams, 24, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal mischief and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. Jamestown Police responded to Barrows Street for a subject armed with a knife. Upon arrival, it was determined Adams forced his way into the residence, breaking the door open and held a knife to the throat of a occupant inside the residence with children in close proximity, police said. He allegedly fled on foot prior to police arriving. Jamestown Police K-9 Mitchell arrived on the scene and tracked Adams to 174 Barrows St. where officers set up a perimeter. He was found inside the residence and taken into custody without incident and was sent to Jamestown City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment.

Shawnette Williamson, 20, of Jamestown was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, improper right turn, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated and DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more Wednesday at 1:29 a.m. Jamestown officers stopped Williamson at the intersection of Barrett Avenue and West Harrison Street for allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign. Allegedly Williamson was found to be operation the vehicle in an intoxicated condition while having a suspended New York driver’s license. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jamestown City Jail where she submitted to a chemical breath test which determined her blood-alcohol concentration to be .15 percent.

Miguel Soto, 39, and Jessica Hernandez, 31, both of Jamestown were arrested by members of the Jamestown Police Department and U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force after it was learned both were living in Jamestown with outstanding warrants from out of state. Soto was wanted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for a parole violation while Hernandez was wanted by Warren County, Pa. for a violation of probation. Both individuals were charged as fugitives from justice and will be transferred to the Chautauqua County Jail after their arraignment in the city court.

Jason Gallo was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and aggravated family offense Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Jamestown Police Department officers were dispatched to Terrace Place for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Gallo and a female victim, and upon investigation officers determined Gallo allegedly had damaged property belonging to the victim. He was taken into custody and advised he was under arrest. Gallo then allegedly began to actively resist officers and refused to walk to the patrol vehicle. Gallo was transported to Jamestown City Jail and upon further investigation it was determined Gallo had a previous conviction for a domestic incident within the preceding five years, making the charges a felony. He was being held pending arraignment.

Christopher Lamper, 31, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief Thursday at 7:56 p.m. Jamestown Police Department was dispatched to Mount Vernon Place for a domestic incident and upon arrival officers spoke to a female victim who state Lamper allegedly was at her residence, and when asked to leave, damaged a door in the residence. The victim then allegedly attempted to call for emergency assistance at which time Lamper hung up the phone, not allowing her to call 911. He then left the residence prior to police arrival, and officers located Lamper at a residence on Newland Avenue. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.

David Buckner, 50, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing Saturday at 10:25 a.m. Jamestown Police responded to East Second Street for a past tense domestic incident and in an interview, the victim revealed that at about 2:10 a.m., Buckner allegedly choked his girlfriend during an argument. He was taken into custody and transported to city jail pending arraignment.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

BUSTI- Carrie Harvey, 34, of Lakewood was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content over .18 percent and failure to keep right on Wednesday at 2:42 a.m. Officers observed Harvey swerving in and out of the westbound lane on Fairmount Avenue as well as driving in the opposite lane. She was stopped and upon investigation, she was allegedly found to be intoxicated. Harvey was transported to Lakewood-Busti Police Department for processing later released and due back in court later.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

FALCONER – Christina Weed, 34, of Falconer was charged with a petit larceny warrant Tuesday. Ellicott Police Department was called to Kmart for two alleged subjects shoplifting on Dec. 28. The subjects were stopped by store security and later fled the area, and Ellicott Police Department did identify the two subjects and obtained arrest warrants for both. On Tuesday, an Ellicott officer did observed the two subjects in Falconer and attempted to stop them on the arrest warrants. When the vehicle stopped, the male passenger, Lisandro Sanchez, fled from the vehicle on foot and Weed was taken into custody, police said. She was arraigned in Ellicott Court and held in Chautauqua County Jail. Ellicott Police Department is attempting to locate Sanchez on the current charge, but other charges are pending.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

PORTLAND- Mathew Miles, 19, of Portland was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and unlicensed operator on Dec. 30 at 8:57 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies and New York State Police responded to a car accident in the Ellicott Estates trailer park in Portland. Miles had left the roadway in the trailer park, and traveled through a lawn and eventually struck a tree and some other items in the lawn, police said. A 13-year-old was a passenger in the vehicle during the time of the accident. Miles was issued tickets and answer the charges in Portland Court.

FRENCH CREEK – Jeremy Glovier, 25, of Clymer was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and disobeying a stop sign on Dec. 29 at 12:41 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies allegedly observed Glovier disobey a stop sign on King Road and proceed across Route 426 and continue on Mann Road in French Creek. Following an investigation, Glover was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office in Mayville. Glovier will answer the charges in French Creek Court.

FRENCH CREEK- Mark Thompson, 25, of Waterford, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and disorderly conduct on Tuesday at 11:29 p.m. Sheriff’s patrol arrested Thompson when he allegedly began “doing donuts” in the parking lot of Peak n Peak following a fireworks display. This action allegedly occurred directly in the front of a parked patrol car and with other vehicular and pedestrian traffic present in the parking lot. He will answer the charges in French Creek Court.

HANOVER- Denee Dolce, 32, of Forestville was charged with second-degree harassment at 6:40 a.m. on Jan. 1. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence on Bennett State Road in Hanover for an altercation. After investigation it is alleged that Dolce struck another person several times. Dolce was taken into custody without incident and arraigned in Hanover Court and sent to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

POMFRET – Thomas Lanphere, 28, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree harassment Wednesday at 4:50 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Chautauqua Road in Pomfret for a fight call. Upon arrival and further investigation, Lanphere allegedly pushed and punched another individual several times. He was arrested and will appear in Pomfret Court at a later date and time.

POLAND – Joel Lanphere, 40, of Kennedy was charged with third-degree criminal mischief Wednesday at 5:45 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence on Route 394 in Poland for an altercation. Following an investigation, allegedly Lanphere go into an argument with another individual that resulted in him damaging many household items. He was taken into custody and was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

PORTLAND- Garry Gilroy, 53, of Westfield was charged with no/inadequate headlights, driving while intoxicated and DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater on Tuesday at 8:27 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies on patrol in Portland allegedly observed a vehicle to be operating with less than two headlights. After stopping the vehicle, deputies alleged that Gilroy was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition and arrested him for driving while intoxicated. He was later released with traffic tickets and he will appear in Portland Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

OLEAN – Tasha Campbell, 22, of Limestone was arrested for a violation of probation issued by the Olean Court on Dec. 30 at 10:30 p.m. She was arrested at the Erie County Holding Center and transported to Olean City Police Department where she will be held to appear in Olean City Court.

YORKSHIRE – Jacob Ray, 20, of Machias was arrested for a violation probation warrant issued by Yorkshire Court and was transported to jail to appear back at court on a later date.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

TIONA – Ryan L. McBride, of Corry, Pa., was charged with two counts of simple assault/harassment Tuesday at 11:45 p.m. McBride allegedly became involved in a verbal disagreement that turned into a physical altercation. Two victims sustained injuries as a result of the altercation. McBride was taking into custody and arraigned before being released on his own recognizance.

WARREN – Ryann Hyde, 33, of Warren, Pa., was charged with driving under the influence and several other summary traffic violations on Tuesday at 3:22 a.m. Allegedly, Hyde put her vehicle in a ditch at the Fifth Avenue Extension near Page Hollow Road, and upon arrival, police determined she was under the influence of alcohol. Hyde was arrested and charges are pending.

SUGAR GROVE – Chad Trojanowski, 24, of Sugar Grove, Pa., was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering and harassment on Dec. 30 at 7:45 p.m. Trojanowski allegedly threatened the victim with a knife and was remanded to Warren County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

SHERMAN-Cole E. Jacobs, 19, of Bay Village, Ohio, was charged Wednesday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on I86. Upon approaching the vehicle, the patrol noticed a strong odor of marijuana, and with the assistance of a K9 unit, located marijuana in a backpack in the rear passenger seat. Jacobs was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Sherman Court at a later date.

FREDONIA-Jonas T. Greenstein, 23, of Stockton and Daniel P. Meder, 23, of Dunkirk were charged with promoting the sexual performance of a child and endangering the welfare of a child. An investigation revealed that the men had exchanged sexually explicit text messages and nude photographs with a 16yearold female from Stockton. Both men were arraigned and are currently free on bail.

NORTH HARMONY-Miguel A. Ayala, 38, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with fifthdegree criminal possession of stolen property, fourthdegree criminal possession of a weapon, aggravated unlicensed operator, uninsured motor vehicle and loud exhaust. A traffic stop on I86 led to Ayala being taken into custody after police determined Ayala’s license plate was stolen from Erie, Pa. Ayala was also found in possession of a billy club. Ayala was committed to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail. He is scheduled to appear in North Harmony Court on Jan. 16.

SHERMAN-Cassie M. Seekings, 20, of Corry, Pa., was charged Wednesday with failing to stop at a stop sign and unsafe tires. Police investigated a personal injury accident on Titus Road at the intersection of ST76 in Sherman. Seekings was traveling westbound on Titus Road and failed to stop at the intersection with ST76. She slid through the intersection then down a snow embankment into a field off the west shoulder of ST76. Two passengers were transported to Westfield Hospital for minor injuries. Seekings will appear in Sherman Court on Jan. 21.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Mark A. Donato, 50, of Celoron was charged Saturday with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing. At approximately 10 p.m., police were dispatched to a Celoron residence for a 911 call where a female was screaming in the background. Upon arrival, officers determined that Donato had allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with a female inside the household. Allegedly, Donato knocked down a locked door to a bedroom where the female victim and two children were inside. He reportedly punched the female in the face, grabbed her by the throat and choked her. Donato was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $5,000/$10,000 bail. He will appear in court at a later date.

Mary L. Waechter-Butler, 55, of Gerry was charged on Dec. 24 with petit larcent and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. K-Mart Loss Prevention observed Waechter-Butler take a large hand bag from a shelf and place several clothing items inside. After she left the store, K-Mart Loss Prevention provided a description of the vehicle to a patrol in the area. New York State Troopers located the vehicle on Sixth Street and stopped it. Waechter-Butler was taken into custody after admitting to stealing the items. She was subsequently found in possession of Hydrocodone pills.

Joel Arroyo, 17, of Jamestown was charged on Dec. 24 with petit larceny. At approximately 1 p.m., K-Mart Loss Prevention observed Arroyo remove a pair of gym shoes from a shelf, place them on his feet and attempt to leave the store. Arroyo was taken into custody by K-Mart Loss Prevention and handed over to police. He will appear in Ellicott Court on a later date.

Douglas L. Woodard, 21, of Kennedy was charged Sunday with third-degree burglary and two counts of petit larceny. Security at the SKF Aeroengine plant, located at 1 Moroco Drive in Falconer, reported a larceny of a cell phone from inside the factory. While police were on their way to the SKF, they located Woodard walking in the are intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that Woodard had unlawfully entered the facility and taken the cell phone from the victims’ work area. Woodard had also allegedly taken a Kodak Easyshare camera and several tools as well. He was remanded to Chautauqua County Court.

Karina M. Blakeslee, 35, of Celoron was charged Thursday with endangering the welfare of a child. Two unidentified juveniles were charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 12 p.m., police responded to the area of West Livingston Avenue for a report of a gunshot complaint. It is alleged that a 14-year-old and 15-year-old juvenile shot two Celoron DPW workers with an airsoft BB gun. One of the workers sustained injuries from the incident and was treated at WCA Hospital and released. It was also determined that the juveniles intentionally shot out the back window of a neighbor’s car. This incident took place without any adult supervision. Blakeslee will answer the charges in Ellicott Court and the juveniles were petitioned to Family Court.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Tyler D. Broderick-Phillips, 19, of Russell, Pa., was charged Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana, speed in zone and aggravated unlicensed operator. At approximately 1:50 a.m., police observed a southbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Forest Avenue Extension. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver-Broderick-Phillips-had his New York State driving privileges suspended and was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Carlos D. Vazquez, 33, of Dunkirk was charged Friday with violation of probation. At approximately 1:35 p.m., Vazquez was taken into custody by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Probation. Vazquez is being held on no bail and is due back in court at a later date.

RANDOLPH-Cody E. Reichenbach, 20, was charged Saturday with petit larceny. At approximately 3:25 p.m., Reichenbach was taken into custody following a complaint that he had taken an item from 7-Eleven without paying for it. He was located a short time later along with the stolen item. Reichenbach is due back in court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jose A. Vargas, 21, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with false impersonation and parole violation warrant. At approximately 11 a.m., officers performed a street check of Vargas on Newland Avenue, at Prospect Street. Vargas allegedly gave a false name numerous times. One of the officers recognized Vargas, who had an outstanding New York State parole warrant.
