CARROLL – Carroll officials and the town’s police department are requesting help in finding and returning a donated picnic table that was recently stolen.

More than two weeks ago, town officials said a local Eagle Scout’s community picnic table, built as part of his Eagle Scout project, had been stolen.

“This project was made for all to use and enjoy,” said Russell Payne, town supervisor. “We’d like it back.”

As previously reported in The Post-Journal, Joseph Levandoski’s Eagle Scout picnic table project was installed by the Cobb Waterway along the Conewango Creek in Frewsburg.

The project received community-wide support. The picnic table project received donations from Home Depot, Sanfilippo Solutions, Jamestown Area Community Federal Credit Union, Jamestown Kendall Club, Conewango Kayak Canoe Rental LLC, Southern Tier Trailer Sales and Allegheny Outfitters Outdoor Store.

“It would be nice to get some leads on who is responsible because it was handmade by a local Boy Scout who donated this to the town,” Payne wrote in an email to The Post-Journal.

Those with information can call the town’s office at 716-569-5365 .
