Complaint Leads To Charges For Pair

Two Clymer residents face drug possession and manufacturing charges after a criminal mischief complaint in French Creek.

Christopher J. Bliss, 32, and Kristal R. Whitmore, 29, both of 1518 Bush Road, Clymer, were charged at 5:06 p.m. Sunday. Upon arrival at the residence, deputies and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force agents found Bliss and Whitmore in the home before allegedly finding items consistent with methamphetamine production.

A check of the Bliss’ and Whitmore’s criminal history revealed both had outstanding warrants in Pennsylvania. Bliss was charged with one count of third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and being a fugitive from justice. Whitmore was charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and being fugitive from justice.

The pair was arraigned at the centralized arraignment program at the Chautauqua County Jail and held pending further court action of the court.

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT) then performed a further search and remediation of the scene. As a result of the search and evidence collection, more charges are pending against both Bliss and Whitmore.
