Elite Kreations has partnered with the Jamestown Renaissance Corporation to provide the transportation of Jeff Smith, this year’s Grand Marshal of the Christmas parade.

Smith, Jamestown Public Schools food services director, served the community as the executive director at the St. Susan Center for the past four years.

“I am extremely humbled to have been chosen to be the grand marshal of this year’s parade,” Smith said.

Smith said he is most proud of the summer lunch program that began during his time at the St. Susan Center. Started three and a half years ago, the program has provided more than 40,000 lunches for the children who attend all the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club summer parks, playgrounds, reading programs, in addition to the 120,000 meals prepared annually at the soup kitchen.

“Jeff is a true pillar in our community, holding a deep passion for giving back to his home city,” said Linnea Carlson, Linnea Carlson, Jamestown Public Market manager. “This has been exemplified during his tenure at St. Susan Center, and his dedication will shine as he moves on to the Jamestown Public School District. Jeff’s commitment to others has helped bring the Summer Meals Program to children in need, led significant efforts to combat hunger in Jamestown, and built successful community partnerships. His kindness extends to each and every person, young to old, and I can think of no one better to honor this year as grand marshal.”
