The Chautauqua Lake Association assisted the Jamestown Riverwalk Commission in final preparation of the boat docking slip for spring and summer use at McCrea Point Park. Major work was performed on the slip last fall by Chautauqua County and the city of Jamestown and the Chautauqua Lake Association performed the final stage of work that required its specialized work barge. The action initiated the organization’s 2018 program to serve and maintain Chautauqua Lake. The association has also begun lake-wide hazardous debris removal from the lake. Last fall’s storms resulted in numerous trees being deposited into the lake from nearby tributaries. The organization is working to remove these and other forms of debris before summer.
