Thanks to the Carlos, American Flags have been donated to local organizations, schools and, now, an elected board.

On Monday, Mary Ann and Pete Carlo donated two more American Flags to Jamestown City Council and Jamestown Mayor Sam Teresi.

Pete Carlo, a Korean War veteran, said it is the 280th flag donation him and his wife have made to local organizations. Carlo said they are going to retire from the flag donation business when they hit 300. The Carlos purchase the flags, which have flown over the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., they have donated to local organizations in memory of U.S. veterans.

Teresi and Gregory Rabb, City Council president, thanked the Carlos for the donation. Following the flag donations, the Carlos led the council, city officials and everyone in attendance during council’s regular voting session meeting in singing “God Bless America” and the “Pledge of Allegiance.”

The Carlos also donate flags that have been on display in Lake View Cemetery’s Soldier’s Circle.

Starting at $3.50/week.
