Illegal Mexican Immigrant Charged Following Traffic Stop In Ripley

One person was arrested following a traffic stop in Ripley for allegedly being in the United States illegally. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that Jose Roberto Perez-Solis, 31, a citizen and national of Mexico, was arrested and charged by criminal complaint with re-entry of a removed alien, which carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Westfield Fire Under Investigation

WESTFIELD – A fire that destroyed a camper and another building is under investigation. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has announced its Fire Investigation Team is currently investigating a fire that occurred on McKinley Road in the Town of Westfield Tuesday around 12:45 p.m. There was a camper and small structure located at 7984 McKinley Road that were destroyed as a result of the fire. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Westfield Police, county Emergency Services, as well as the fire departments of Westfield, Portland, Brocton and North Lake.

Repeat Offender Pleads Guilty To New Child Porn Charge

A Jamestown man who has been arrested for possessing child pornography in the past has again pleaded guilty to possessing the sexually explicit illegal material. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that 24-year-old Brandon G. Uber, 24 pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Man Who Sold Drugs In Celoron Death Headed To Prison

A Fredonia man who sold drugs that caused a man in Celoron to overdose and die is headed to prison. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo has announced that 38-year-old John Wallace Buchanan, who was convicted of narcotics conspiracy, was sentenced to serve 11 years and three months in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. LAKEWOOD – A cigarette is being blamed for causing a fire at a local business complex this morning. Around 7:30 a.m. Monday the Lakewood Fire Department and Lakewood-Busti Police Department responded to 401 E Fairmount Ave. for a reported structure fire. That address has multiple businesses located there, including two insurance agencies, a financial advisor and a chiropractor.
