Man Jailed After Domestic Incident
A man faces weapons and assault charges after a domestic incident late Monday night on Jamestown’s north side.
Thomas A. Brewster was charged with third-degree possession of a weapon, a felony, two counts of first-degree burglary, a felony, second-degree assault, a felony, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal mischief after Jamestown police officers responded to a report of an assault in progress at 10:38 p.m. Monday. Police report Brewster unlawfully entered a person’s home and allegedly assaulted them with brass knuckles and damaged property inside the home while two small children were present. The other person was taken to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment of their injuries after Brewster left the home.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies assisted and found Brewster in the Pomfret area. He was charged and brought to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.
