Police Investigating City Shooting

Jamestown police are investigating a reported shooting that left one person injured Tuesday.
Officers were alerted just after 9 p.m. to a gunshot victim at the intersection of Park Street and Newland Avenue. The victim was then said to have been transported by private vehicle to UPMC Chautauqua.
As of 10 p.m., the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The intersection was cordoned off with yellow police tape; Jamestown and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles closed nearby roads to traffic.
More information is expected to be released Wednesday morning.
