(9:25 AM) City Woman Charged With Robbery, Assault
A city woman is facing assault and robbery charges after police say she struck an asset protection associate in the head with a Red Bull can several times while attempting to steal merchandise from Walmart.
Officers with the Lakewood-Busti Police Department were called to the 350 E. Fairmount Ave. store Tuesday at 2:50 p.m. for a petit larceny complaint. Police alleged that 26-year-old Jessica L. McAdoo stole $195.93 worth of clothing.
An investigation determined that the city resident “caused physical injury to the asset protection associate at Walmart by striking her in the head multiple times with a Red Bull can that she had stolen,” police said in a news release.
McAdoo was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree robbery and petit larceny. She was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
