(4:07 PM) City Man Sentenced On Child Porn Charge

A Jamestown man has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison after being convicted for possessing child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Buffalo announced Wednesday that 36-year-old Steven Fetterman will serve the next 100 months in prison, in addition to 30 years of supervised release. The city resident was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo in Buffalo federal court.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan P. Cantil, who handled the case, stated that on Nov. 19, 2015, Fetterman allegedly possessed 1,720 videos and 13,838 images of child pornography. About 44 videos and 95 images involved prepubescent minors or minors under the age of 12, as well as depictions of violence.

Fetterman previously engaged in a pattern of activity involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor. In 2000, Fetterman allegedly forced a minor to engage in oral sex. Also, between 2001 and 2003, he attempted to fondle another victim.

The sentencing was the result of an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations.
