Dunkirk police investigating fatal shooting

DUNKIRK - The Dunkirk Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 100 block of South Gazelle Street late Thursday. Officers responded to the area around 9:54 p.m. and located an adult male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. At this time, investigators do not believe there is any active threat to the community.
