The Jamestown Civil Air Patrol Composite Squadron has won the Quality Cadet Unit Award for the fourth year in a row.
The award recognizes squadrons that demonstrate a strong, well-rounded cadet program by meeting nationally established standards in areas such as cadet achievement, orientation flights, aerospace education, encampment participation, recruiting and retention.
Some qualifications include 45% of the cadets in the squadron earning the Wright Brothers award, the squadron having 25 members, 70% of the cadets receiving their first orientation flight, the squadron hosting a STEM team, 60% of the cadets completing general emergency services training and the squadron completing at least four community service events.
