Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers To Meet July 21
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Lakewood American Legion Post 1286. This meeting is the group’s picnic day. Members are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own serving utensils and place settings. Many members are knitting hats for children to distribute in the fall and would appreciate donations of yarn skeins. Any individual interested in membership with the Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers and has reached the age of 55 is welcome to attend a meeting.
Myers Memorial Library Board To Meet July 21
FREWSBURG – The Myers Memorial Library board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, in the community room at the library.The public is welcome to attend.
Randolph School Board To Meet July 22
RANDOLPH – The Randolph Central School District Board of Education will meet Wednesday, July 22, at 6 p.m. in the high school library. The public is welcome to attend.
Busti Gazebo Concert Series Continues Saturday
BUSTI – The Busti Gazebo Concert Series continues Saturday featuring Pat Cook and guest John Savage performing country hits. Upcoming concerts include the Old Dawg Blue Grass band on Aug. 8, the Rustic Ramblers on Aug. 15, the Kokomo Band on Aug. 22 and Happy Days on Aug. 25. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. Those attending should bring a lawn chair for seating.
Cassadaga Library To Host Power Tool, Building Classes For Women
CASSADAGA – The Seymour Library will be hosting a series of power tool and building classes for women at the Cassadaga Branch starting at 5 p.m. Monday, July 20, with “The Basics – Power Tool Safety.” Topics of future workshops to be decided by participants. Classes are specifically for women who always wanted to learn how to build something. Students will learn to design, measure, cut wood and put together a mini picnic table. The Class is limited to 10 participants. There is a $10 fee but all materials are included.
Lakeview Avenue Homes Are Subject Of Saturday Walking Tour
The homes along Lakeview Avenue, Jamestown, are the subject of Saturday’s Fenton History Center historic walking tour, led by Cindy Rodgers, longtime Fenton member and former board member. The tour begins at the Christ First United Methodist Church parking lot on Buffalo Street at 10 a.m. The cost is $8 for members and $12 for non-members. Participants can pre-register online, in person at the Fenton, or by phone at 716-664-6256. There is a limit of 20 people for each tour. Sponsors are Rodgers Land Surveying, Ahlstrom Schaeffer and Weber Knapp. Those interested can purchase a pass for all of the walking tours for $50 for members and $80 for non-members.
