Proceeds From Bowling Tournament Benefits Step Up For Autism Event

Kris Trubic, left, continuous improvement specialist at Monofrax in Falconer, presents a $916 check to Victoria Trass Bardo, development and events manager at Filling the Gap, Inc. The check represents the proceeds from Monofrax’s second annual bowling tournament to benefit Step Up for Autism, an annual event that raises money to support the services The Resource Center provides to people on the autism spectrum. The tournament was held May 21 at Jamestown Bowling Company. Trubic, who organized the event, thanked those who participated. She singled out for praise a Resource Center employee who won $149 in a prize drawing and donated the money to Step Up for Autism. Monofrax intends to hold another bowling tournament to benefit Step Up for Autism next April. Filling the Gap’s 13th annual Step Up for Autism is scheduled for September 24 at The Resource Center’s administrative offices on Dunham Avenue in Celoron. There will be a 1.5-mile awareness walk, a sweets auction and a prize drawing. For information, phone Bardo at 716-661-1477. Submitted photo
