Y Aquatic Programming Expands

With the ongoing success in lap swimming, adult and family open swim, the Jamestown YMCA Y is launching Phase III of its pool reopening.

The following programs are being added for members — private swim lessons, Jets swim camp and a time slot for high school (grades 9-12) and college competitive swimmers beginning July 20. The added programs are available to all Jamestown YMCA members who fall within the parameters below.

Private lessons will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays for children 6 years of age or older through adult. The instructors for beginner level students will be in a full face shield while in water teaching. For more information visit www.jamestownymca.org/main/aquatics/

Jamestown YMCA Jets will have camps offered for practice group. Days and times vary, visit www.jamestownymca.org/main/aquatics for more information. This program is only for members of the 2019-20 season.

For more information on ninth- through 12th-grade high school and college swimming hours, visit www.jamestownymca.org/main/aquatics.

The additional programs are available to current Jamestown YMCA members. The YMCA is accepting new members. Registration and fees apply to all listed programs. Social distancing is required. The Y will not allow early admittance to the building to ensure proper social distancing. Masks are required in all common areas of the building. Once the swimmers are on deck masks may be removed. There is no locker room access for anyone under the age of 18.
