Jazz Concert Series To Feature Scott Bradley

On Friday, the Jazz Concert Series at the Infinity Arts Cafe, 302 E. Third St., Jamestown, will feature An Evening with the Scott Bradley Quartet at 7 p.m.

Area saxophonist John Cross will host this first Infinity Cafe Jazz Series program of 2020. The concert is presented with the support of the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

The Scott Bradley Quartet performs a wide variety of classic jazz standards and many of Scott Bradley’s dazzling original compositions. Other jazz standards on the program include The Very Thought of You (Ray Noble), The In Crowd (Ramsey Lewis), The Sidewinder (Lee Morgan), Minority (Gigi Gryce), Chega de Saudade (Carlos Jobim), I Let A Song Go Out of My Heart (Duke Ellington), Take 5 (Paul Desmond), Work Song (Nat Adderley), Bernie’s Tune (Bernie Miller), and I’m Old Fashioned (Jerome Kern).

Bradley has been a fixture on the Rochester jazz scene for 30 years playing trumpet, flugelhorn and piano. As a member of the Bill Tiberio Band, Bradley’s compositions can be heard regularly on Rochester jazz radio stations. Bradley studied jazz arranging with Rayburn Wright and improvisation with Bill Dobbins at the Eastman School of Music.

Joining Bradley will be Cross on alto and tenor saxophone, North Carolina native Emani Barber, on upright and electric bass and Brent Isaacson on drums.

The concert is free to the public with an offering at intermission.
