CASSADAGA — The Dave Golando Big Band will perform today from 5 to 7 p.m. on Cassadaga’s Floating Stage on Cassadaga Beach, Park Avenue.

The Dave Golando Big Band has been performing for more than 20 years in the Western New York area and includes musicians from Buffalo and the Southern Tier performing classic big band tunes from Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller and the Artie Shaw Big Band. Pop tunes by such artists as the Beatles, Willie Nelson and Stevie Wonder will also be played.

Those attending can come by boat or bring a blanket or chair. Stanfield’s Hot Dog and Lemonade Stand will be selling food and drink or those attending can bring their own.

Boat-side delivery will be available if weather permits.

There is a playground with new playground equipment for children and lifeguards will be on duty.

The concert is sponsored by the United Arts Appeal Project Pools Grant and the American Legion Post 1280.

In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at the American Legion Post 1280 or the community building, 22 Mill St.
