Webb Honored With Community Service Award

Paul V. Webb Jr. has been honored by members of the Jamestown Bar Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Service.
Attorney Lyle Hajdu, one of Paul Webb’s partners, provided a summary of Webb’s service to the community during his lifetime. Among his community activities, Webb served two terms as a member of the Chautauqua Regional Community Foundation, was a school board member for the Frewsburg Central School District for 13 years, was the president of the Frewsburg Little League, was chairman of the Jamestown City Republican Party, served as fire commissioner for the town of Carroll for eight years, coached Little League baseball for the town of Carroll for many years and helped establish the Rails-to-Trails section in Mayville that has been named after his parents, Paul and Nadine Webb.
Webb was also active in his church, having served on the Parish Council for St. James, as a board member for St. James School and he was active in Catholic Charities in St. Mary’s Parish. Webb has also served in numerous capacities in relation to the law, including being a member of the House of Delegates for the New York Bar Association for four years, serving on the Supreme Court Appellate Division, Fourth Department Attorney Grievance Committee for six years and as president of the Jamestown Bar Association. Additionally, Webb has served as town attorney for the towns of Carroll, Kiantone and Poland and as attorney for the village of Bemus Point. Webb is also a contributor to the Robert H. Jackson Center.
