RANDOLPH — Randolph’s Cody Slade fired a 1-under 35 at Cardinal Hills Golf Course for medalist honors, but it was the entire Fredonia team that appeared to be quite comfortable on the layout, even if it was about 40 miles from home.
Led by an even-par 36 from Ryan Kelly and a 3-over par 39 from Jordan Kelly, the Hillbillies (12-0, 7-0 CCAA D1 Large) kept their Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association record spotless by downing Jamestown 30.5-24.5 and Randolph 31-24 on Wednesday afternoon. In the other match, the Red & Green (13-2, 5-2 CCAA D1 Large) defeated the Cardinals (15-3, 12-0 CCAA D2) 29.5-25.5.
Matt Beaver joined teammate Slade in the sub-40 club, shooting a 2-over 38.
For Jamestown, Evan Maloney registered a 38 and Tyler Salvaggio had a 39.

EAGLES CLINCH TITLE
BEMUS POINT — Chautauqua Lake/Westfield clinched the Division 1 West Small School Division title by knocking off Maple Grove at Bemus Point Golf Course.
The Eagles (9-1, 7-0) defeated the Red Dragons (0-11, 0-6) 35-20 and also upended Cassadaga Valley (5-8, 3-3) 32-23. In the other match, the Cougars knocked off Maple Grove 32-23.

Cassadaga Valley’s Jackson Marsh was the medalist with a 6-over 42. Braylon Swanson led Chautauqua Lake/Westfield with a 43 and Conner Schrantz paced Maple Grove with a 46.

WINTERSTEEN, HOFFMAN MEDALISTS AT GIRLS SHOWCASE
CHAUTAUQUA — Jocelyn Wintersteen of Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove and Sydnee Hoffman of Fredonia were co-medalists at the Chautauqua County Showcase at Chautauqua Golf Club.
Hoffman’s round helped the Hillbillies claim first place in the team competition with a 147. Meanwhile, Wintersteen’s round led the way for the Cougars, who finished second with a 155.
Following are the third- through fifth-place teams. They were Southwestern with a 166, Falconer with a 178 and Jamestown with a 181.
