WESTFIELD — Area golfers and those wishing to chip in to help the Rotary Club of Westfield-Mayville continue its various service projects are invited to attend the organization’s “Chips, Putts, and Pints” event on Friday, June 14, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Pinehurst Golf Club, Route 20, in Westfield.

Contest participants are limited to the first 80 entrants. There will be men’s and women’s divisions. Points awarded will be in a similar format as (drive), chip and putt contests. The best three scores win. First, second and third place cash prizes are $100, $75 and $50, respectively.

Ties will be decided by a chip-off. Participants may bring their own clubs or borrow some from the folks at Pinehurst Golf Club, platinum sponsor for this charity event.

Tickets are $35 per single or $60 per couple. Admission includes the contest entry, a delicious barbecue beef buffet dinner, a craft beer, and friendly competition for cash prizes and bragging rights.
