On April 1 the village of Westfield Board of Trustees conducted its annual inspection of the Westfield Fire Hall and the members of the Westfield Fire Department. During the inspection, Mayor Mike Vandevelde thanked all of the volunteers for their commitment to the community and the sacrifices they make to serve. Vandevelde also presented a check to the fire department on behalf of the board and the residents of the village of Westfield, which provides necessary funding for the operation of the fire department.
