Safety Village To Hold Annual Halloween Fun Fair

ASHVILLE — The Chautauqua Children’s Safety Education Village is hosting its ninth annual Halloween Fun Fair from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the village, 2695 Route 394 in Ashville, next to BOCES.

Children ages 12 years and under may dress up and trick or treat door to door among the miniature buildings that make up the Safety Village.

Owners and volunteers of the buildings will be dressed in child-friendly costumes to pass out candy. They will be joined by Optimus Prime and Moana, who have made a special trip to have their pictures taken with children.

Families can enjoy an old-fashioned wagon ride courtesy of Land-Pro, formerly Z&M Ag and Turf. They can also take a ride on the Safety Village Express train.

There will also be food, kettle corn, face painting, cotton candy, pumpkin painting and more available.

The fun fair takes place regardless of weather.

Tickets are $3 for adults, children ages 4 to 12 are $2 and children ages 3 and under are admitted free. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

For more information, visit www.childrenssafetyvillage.com or the Children’s Safety Village on Facebook.

All proceeds help the village continue providing hands-on safety training.
