WESTFIELD — The Westfield Exempt Volunteer Firemen’s Association recently donated bicycle helmets for third-grade students at the Westfield Academy and Central School.

During a recent visit by students to the Chautauqua Children’s Safety Village, where children learn different aspects of fire prevention and life safety that includes fire, traffic and bicycle safety, it was learned there was a need for bicycle helmets for some of the students. In order to ensure the safety of Westfield’s children while they are riding their bicycles, the Westfield Exempt Volunteer Firemen’s Association donated the helmets.
