Patterson Library Accepting Donations For Benefit Auction

WESTFIELD — The Patterson Library is accepting donations for its benefit auction and chicken barbecue dinner.

The library will accept antiques, baked goods, furniture, services, collectibles and more.

The auction will take place at Eason Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 16. The preview and silent auction will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Dinner will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and the regular auction will begin at 6:45 p.m. Admission to the auction is free, but the barbecue dinner will cost $10 per person pre-sale only. Tickets are available to purchase at the main desk of the Patterson Library, or from a library trustee.

The barbecue dinner will include chicken barbecue from Chiavetta’s, potato salad, coleslaw, rolls, non-alcoholic beverages and dessert.

All proceeds will be used to buy library materials and host programming tailored for the community.

“We’re so grateful for the donations and participation in this fundraiser because it helps us build a larger collection for the Westfield community,” said Amy Stephenson, interim library director. “It helps us get more fiction, technology for school-aged children, television series, DVDs and increase offerings.”

For more information, visit the main desk of the Patterson Library or call the library at 326-2154.

Starting at $3.50/week.
