CWC Holding Native Plants Presentation Thursday
The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy (CWC) invites the public to a program entitled, “Eco-Friendly Native Plants for Your Yard or Lakeshore” on Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. The event is free to CWC members with a suggested donation of $5 per person for non-members. Jonathan Titus, ecologist from SUNY Fredonia, will be the speaker. This event will be held at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 3748 Route 430 in Bemus Point. Dr. Titus will be giving this presentation as part of the CWC’s Healthy Landscapes – Healthy Waters Program.
The Conservancy is a member-supported nonprofit organization which works with landowners to conserve and enhance the landscape features which protect important habitats and collect, store, filter and deliver clean waters to our Chautauqua lakes, streams and groundwaters. To date, it has led efforts conserving over 800 acres of land across Chautauqua County, including two miles of Chautauqua Lake and Outlet shoreline.
