96th Highlanders Award Scholarship To Music Education Students

Sarah Ozga and Adam Girts are the first recipients of the 96th Highlanders Pipes and Drums Scholarship, administered by the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

Ozga, a graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School, is currently in her first year studying music performance at Jamestown Community College. Girts is a freshman studying music and education at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.

The 96th Highlanders Pipes and Drums Scholarship was created to assist undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a degree in music and is a well-rounded, hard-working student who demonstrates good citizenship. Preference is given to students who have been, or are currently, members of a bag pipe band. For more information, contact the Community Foundation at 661-3390 or visit crcfonline.org.
