First Lutheran Church Community Store Open Dec. 9, 11

The First Lutheran Community Store Christmas $3 clothing bag sale slated for Dec. 9, 11, 16, and 18 will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Educational Building. Enter through the awning door to access the elevator to the third floor. The public is welcome.

Cassadaga Valley School Board To Meet

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Cassadaga Valley Central School District Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, Sinclairville Elementary School cafeteria. The public is welcome to attend.

Southwestern Middle School Concerts Are Dec. 10

Southwestern Middle School will present the sixth grade winter concert on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at Southwestern High School. It will be followed by the seventh and eighth grade winter concert at 7:30 p.m. Both concerts are free and open to the public.

Library System Board To Gather

RANDOLPH – The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System Board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Randolph Library. The public is welcome to attend.

ILS Veteran Club To Host Spaghetti Dinner

The ILS Veterans Club, 364 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown will welcome Sam Boscia, who will be serving a spaghetti and meatballs dinners at the post on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 4 to 6 p.m., or until gone. The cost of the dinner is $12 for adults and $7 for children and dinners will include salad and bread. Take-out dinners are available. The dinner is open to the public. The AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary will have desserts for sale to benefit its programs. The post will open at 3 p.m

Next Fenton Canteen Is Dec. 13

The next Fenton Canteen will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Fenton History Center, 67 Washington St, Jamestown. Special guest Jack Anderson will share his adventures in the U..S Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Veterans of all ages are welcome to attend for coffee, cookies and camaraderie. Service dogs are always welcome.

County IDA Board To Meet

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency Board will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, in the BWB Building’s second floor board room, 201 W. Third St., Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend, and the meeting will be streamed live on YouTube.

Randolph Soldier Receives National Guard Promotion

Major General Ray Shields, the adjutant general for the state of New York, announces the recent promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership. Miley Gilbert from Randolph, assigned to the Company A, 642nd Aviation Support Battalion, received a promotion to the rank of specialist.
