Busti Old Fashioned Christmas Is Sunday

BUSTI – The Busti Historical Society will once again hold its Old Fashioned Christmas in Busti from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Buy Christmas cookies and shop from the Country Store Holiday Market. There will also be candlelit self-guided tours of the Miller’s House and the Busti History Museum. Children’s activities include sending a letter to Santa from the original Busti Post Office inside the museum. Free crafts will be held in the meeting room. Make reindeer feed with grain ground here at the Busti Grist Mill. Admission is by donation. Free parking is available in the society’s lot by the mill.

Rails To Trails To Host Holiday Happy Hour Monday

MAYVILLE – Chautauqua Rails to trails will continue its tradition of celebrating trail supporters at its annual Holiday Happy Hour at Big Inlet Brewing on Monday, Dec. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. Pizza and cookies will be provided for guests for no charge. Musical guests include Rails to Trails President Bill Ward, Bob Henry, Marcy Bird and John Savage. Guests are encouraged to wear their ugliest sweaters for competition and sing Christmas carols. Attendees can support the all-volunteer trail effort by participating in 50/50 and basket giveaways, by purchasing a membership, or donating. Wendy Lewellen’s trail-promoting book, Good Soles: Chautauqua Rails to Trails Namesakes and Trailblazers will be available to purchase or win. Bemus Point School Board To Meet Monday

BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Board of Education will conduct its next regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, in the cafeteria located at Maple Grove Jr/Sr High School, 3980 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. An executive session is expected to take place from 5:15 to 6 p.m. followed by the regular meeting at 6 p.m. The public is welcome.

Ellington Library Board To Hold Special Meeting Monday

ELLINGTON – The Ellington Library Board of Trustees will have a special meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the library and is open to the public.

Christian Women To Meet Tuesday, Dec. 9

Village Missions Country Partners Warren-Jamestown Christian Women will gather at 11:30 a.m. for a noon luncheon Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell, with a snow date of Dec. 16. Bazaar browsing will be in the lobby with Christmas items for sale. Spiritual speaker and music will feature Jeremy Earnheardt of Warren.
