Bemus Point Bridge Reopens

County Bridge 995 and Dutch Hollow Road are now open. The bridge closed earlier in August for repairs.

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop Starting Summer Clearance Sale

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, is starting its summer clothing clearance sale this week. All clothing in all departments is $1 or less. Included are lady’s shoes, purses, jewelry, and all items in the children’s department. The shop is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds are used for local outreach.

County Parks Commission To Meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, in the conference room at the Jamestown airport. The public is welcome to attend.

Kennedy Library To Host Movie

KENNEDY – The Kennedy Free Library is hosting a community movie night outdoors at the library at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29. The event is free of charge and open to the community. A family-friendly movie will be shown and popcorn provided. Those attending can bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating. The Kennedy Free Library is located at 649 Second St., Kennedy. Audubon Building Closed Monday For Labor Day

The Audubon Community Nature Center building will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day. Visitors can still visit the nearly 600-acre nature preserve, check in on the live birds of prey, use the native tree arboretum, gardens, picnic area, Nature Play Area, and hike the more than five miles of trails dawn until dusk daily for free. Audubon is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown and Warren.

County Planning Board To Gather Sept. 2

The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 in the board room of the Hamilton Collegiate Center at Jamestown Community College, 525 Falconer St., Jamestown. East Randolph UMC To Host Rummage Sale

EAST RANDOLPH – A fall rummage sale will be held at the East Randolph Methodist Church, 122 Church St., East Randolph, will be held Friday, Sept. from a.m. to 5 p.m. and a $2 bag sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 6. There will also be homemade canned and baked goods for sale. Donations are accepted Sept. 1-4 in the fellowship hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
