I Have Seen Signs For Senior Health Matters. What is that? Are you affiliated with that?

Answer: Senior Health Matters is a campaign that has been initiated by Culture Care Senior Living, which now own Tanglewood Manor, Memory Gardens, Comfort Today and the Magnolia. Culture Care Senior Living is new to our region but has provide services in four counties of Pennsylvania for a number of years.

Culture Care Senior Living is guided by three core values, Resident Focus, Team Empowerment and Continuity of Care. Using the three core values as the starting point, the upcoming Senior Health Matters Expo is a point of introduction for us. These core values are the basis, which clearly states we believe all care should start with the seniors, their individual wellbeing and goals.

The new owner, Gary Rohinsky is excited to begin to work with all the service providers in the region to educate the public on services offered and access points for those services. We all know that it takes many different services and providers to care for individuals over the course of their lifetime.

On August 5th (Saturday), from 10am to 2pm, the grounds behind Tanglewood Manor will be transformed into an event offered to seniors and their families. The event will offer educational opportunities, entertainment, and fun for all. Providers from around the region have been invited to set up booths to provide information and materials about their programs. These booths will have staff available to answer questions, share ideas and find solutions with all who attend.

This opportunity is about providing information and service options to those individuals who may need it now or in the future. By bringing together all these providers, seniors and their families can gather information, learn about alternatives and establish plans for taking care of the family they love. The information and agencies will give those that attend the ability to provide the continuity of care that we all hope for. A plan with services that meet your individual needs.

Taking care of family and ourselves is easier when you have the information you need to make educated choices. This is true whether you need insurance, services in your home, or a place to live safely.

In past years we have had events like this one, Journey to Active Aging, Senior Health Expo and others. These have been held in many different locations and have had different themes. During COVID these events were not available to us.

This Senior Health Matters Expo is bringing it back.

Saturday, August 5, 2023, will be an exciting opportunity for anyone who has questions about themselves, their family, or their friends who may need services now or in the days ahead.

For those who don’t know where Tanglewood Manor is, it is located at 560 Fairmount Ave. in Jamestown, NY.
