FRANKLINVILLE — Several local athletes and relay teams finished in the top eight at the Frostbite Relays on Saturday. Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton sophomore Meredith Lendt won the girls 1,500 meters with a time of 5:12.32 while Frewsburg junior Grace Gilevski was third with a time of 5:40.46. SALAMANCA — The Jamestown Community College baseball team ended its 10-game losing streak with a pair of emphatic wins over Corning CC, and the two victories could not have come in a more different fashion. LAKEWOOD — Maple Grove won a pair of doubles matches to lock up a 3-2 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association boys tennis win over Southwestern at the Lakewood YMCA.
